Fasting course with hiking and yoga at Waldbreitbach Monastery (4 days)

The retreat itself was very interesting, informative and definitely recommendable. You learn about fasting. With sham fasting, you tend to get smaller portions, but these are still sufficient. With alkaline fasting, you can determine the portion size yourself and eat additional food. The retreat leader is a wonderful, positive person who makes fasting fun. The hotel is also good and quite modern. The only negative point is the pillows. There are a few to choose from but all of them are very uncomfortable. Also the teas that are provided are all alkaline. So if someone likes coffee or green tea, they should bring their own. Otherwise you can also buy it. Yoga was also okay.

It was an exciting experience. Beautiful 4 days in the middle of nature, perfect for switching off and concentrating on yourself. Very nice and competent fasting instructor! Great place for yoga and hikes.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I really enjoyed my stay and it did me a lot of good. The accommodation in the Waldbreitbach monastery was very nice and everything was thought of. In addition, I can only praise the fasting instructor Petra and the yoga teacher Sarah, both of whom did a really great job and were very supportive. I thought it was a bit of a shame that it didn't start until 4.30 pm and ended at 12.00 pm on Monday. I would like to see the days on the first and last day being used to the full. I also found it a bit of a shame that the same program was always carried out on both days and that further program points were offered in the following week, such as forest bathing and heart chakra meditation.
