10-day Sahara Desert Yoga Retreat in Morocco

Marrakesh: In Marrakesh, you will be staying in one of our beautiful partner riads in the heart of the medina, Marrakesh's famous old town. Cool and inspiringly beautiful, the riad offers us exactly the environment we need for our yoga trip: peace and security, green, sunny and shady spots on the roof that invite us to enjoy Moroccan tea and the silence amid the hustle and bustle. The riad also serves as the venue for our daily yoga practice.

Merzouga: In Merzouga, you will stay with the group in a traditional kasbah, which offers a view of the desert in all its vastness. The kasbah is family-run and has exceptionally beautiful but simple and modest rooms with terraces and views of the dunes. It serves as our accommodation before our stay in the desert and after our return from the sea of sand.

Desert camp: In the desert camp, you will be accommodated in traditional Berber tents. The camp is located in the middle of the sand dunes in absolute silence. It has a kitchen, a restaurant, a shower, and a toilet.

- Extensive, lovingly prepared, healthy, and traditional Moroccan dishes (vegetarian and vegan options are also available upon request) - Water is included with meals

Day 1: Arrival + Introduction / No Yoga Arrival in Marrakesh. Transfer from the airport to the riad will be organized individually depending on arrival time. 7:30 p.m.: Introduction & welcome dinner at the riad

Day 2: PIKALA city tour by bicycle / 2 yoga sessions 7:30-9:00 a.m.: Morning yoga, including pranayama + meditation 9:30 a.m.: Breakfast 11:00 a.m.: PIKALA bicycle tour to all of Marrakesh's highlights 3:00-5:30 p.m.: Free time 5:30 p.m.: Evening yoga
7:30 p.m.: Dinner at the riad Day 3: Off to the Drâa Valley / 1 yoga session 6:30 a.m.: Early breakfast 7:30 a.m.: Departure from Marrakesh to Agdz (approx. 8-9 hours drive with our bus) 4:30 p.m.: Arrival in Agdz 5:30 p.m.: Evening yoga
7:30 p.m.: Dinner at the ecolodge Day 4: Off to Merzouga / 1 yoga session 7:30-9:00 a.m.: Morning yoga including pranayama + meditation 9:30 a.m.: Breakfast + chill out by the pool 12:00 p.m.: Departure for Merzouga (departure time varies depending on the season)
5:00 p.m.: Arrival in Merzouga 5:30 p.m.: Off to the desert with packed camels at sunset 7:30 p.m.: Dinner at the desert camp Days 5-6: Explore the desert / 2 yoga sessions 7:30-9:00 a.m.: Morning yoga including pranayama + meditation
9:30 a.m.: Breakfast & optional desert hike / visit to a nomadic family 2:00 p.m.: Lunch 5:30 p.m.: Evening yoga in the desert camp 7:30 p.m.: Dinner in the desert camp Day 7: Return to Merzouga / 2 yoga sessions 7:30-9:00 a.m.: Morning yoga including pranayama + meditation 09:30: Breakfast 11:00: Transport back to Merzouga by jeep 13:00: Optional lunch 17:30: Evening yoga in the kasbah 19:30: Dinner in the kasbah Day 8: Return to Marrakesh / No yoga
6:30 a.m.: Early breakfast 7:30 a.m.: Departure from Merzouga to Marrakech 1:00 p.m.: Lunch break in Aït Ben Haddou 7:00 p.m.: Arrival in Marrakech 7:30 p.m.: Dinner at the riad Day 9: Explore Marrakech on your own / 2 yoga sessions
07:30-09:00: Morning yoga including pranayama + meditation 09:30: Breakfast & free time 17:30: Yoga at sunset 19:30: Dinner out at a nice restaurant Day 10: Departure / No yoga Breakfast & departure (transfer to the airport will be organized individually depending on departure time)
*Yoga classes are usually taught in English. Please note: Entrance fees must be paid separately. The schedule may vary depending on the weather and season. You are welcome to arrange private yoga sessions with the yoga teacher on site, subject to availability and at an additional cost. Please contact us for more information.

Marrakesh has an international airport, Marrakech Menara. Transportation to and from the airport is organized by NOSADE. All we need is your exact flight times. Please note that flights are not included in the price and must be booked separately.
