This Naikan week in nature at the Bavarian Forest National Park was a great experience and ultimately led to a significant cleansing. The focus solely on introspection and one’s own memories without any distractions was successful, which actually worked in the beautiful surroundings. Sabine Kaspari did everything for this: delicious, varied meals, guided hikes, and consistent and thorough support through the Naikan. Conclusion: It helps!

This retreat was truly magical and crafted with so much heart by Katrin as the leader. It was a journey into one's own heart and should be experienced by everyone. The hall was beautiful and the available facilities were more than sufficient. I particularly appreciated the openness and friendliness of the people in the monastery. The location was wonderful with plenty of green spaces and the two beautiful churches. The Byzantine mass was truly spectacular and the singing was beautiful. Thank you to Katrin, the participants, and the monastery for this unforgettable experience! I will definitely recommend it and surely this was not my last silent retreat at the Kloster Niederalteich. Best regards and many thanks from the heart!

Our course instructor addressed the circumstances (Temp. 35 degrees) and our needs. Ms. Oppermann is very friendly, has a pleasant voice, and offers a varied program. I was able to relax wonderfully! The mattress was not too hard for me. The communal showers and toilets are clean. The food is very delicious, and the garden has many beautiful corners. A big thank you to the volunteers of the 5 monks.
