This Naikan week in nature at the Bavarian Forest National Park was a great experience and ultimately led to a significant cleansing. The focus solely on introspection and one’s own memories without any distractions was successful, which actually worked in the beautiful surroundings. Sabine Kaspari did everything for this: delicious, varied meals, guided hikes, and consistent and thorough support through the Naikan. Conclusion: It helps!

This retreat was truly magical and crafted with so much heart by Katrin as the leader. It was a journey into one's own heart and should be experienced by everyone. The hall was beautiful and the available facilities were more than sufficient. I particularly appreciated the openness and friendliness of the people in the monastery. The location was wonderful with plenty of green spaces and the two beautiful churches. The Byzantine mass was truly spectacular and the singing was beautiful. Thank you to Katrin, the participants, and the monastery for this unforgettable experience! I will definitely recommend it and surely this was not my last silent retreat at the Kloster Niederalteich.
