In our SOUND OF SILENCE feel-good retreat, we give you an impulse to look inwards and become still with our tried-and-tested sonorous and active meditation, mindfulness and sound exercises to help you regain your peace and regeneration and deal better with the future challenges of everyday life.

We work a lot with sound (including gongs, singing bowls, Ko-Ta-Mo and many other sound instruments), which will bring you back to your inner peace and relaxation.

With sound meditation and mindfulness, you will join us on a path of arrival, calm and self-compassion. You will develop more awareness of the time you need to relax and recharge your inner battery.

Experience deep relaxation in our SOUND OF SILENCE feel-good retreat at the beautiful RETTER Bio-Natur-Resort, including through fantasy and sound journeys supplemented with selected body and perception exercises such as elements from Yin Yoga accompanied by sound instruments to strengthen your well-being and compassion for yourself and your surroundings.

Slow food organic enjoyment with a toque and vision

Warm hospitality, regionality and organic food have been at the heart of our good taste for 30 years. Ideal for family celebrations, weddings and cozy hours for two. The terrace in front of the restaurant and our à la carte restaurants Muskat and Lorbeer offer particularly sunny dining. We are passionate about cooking with certified organic and hand-picked products from within a maximum radius of 25 km from rundumadum. Be it vegan, vegetarian or hearty. We only serve organic and free-range meat from six farmers in Eastern Styria. Everything is prepared whole in line with the zero-waste concept. Our kitchen team enjoys preparing not only the finest cuts, but also dishes from grandma's time, where every part was valued.

Our principles

Guests are warmly looked after in a modern, warm ambience - open to the surrounding nature. Banquet tables are lovingly decorated. Special attention is paid to the processing of local, certified organic food into tasty creations and delicacies of Styrian cuisine. The restaurant has been certified organic since 2004 and has been awarded a toque by Gault Millau and the Green Toque - a seal of quality for wholesome, certified organic cuisine - since 1992. We Retters say: "Meat is something very special and not a mass product!" That's why, for years, we have only used organic, free-range regional animals such as pork, lamb, veal and beef in our kitchen. Since 2024, the Retter BioGut and restaurant has also been part of "Slow Food Austria".

A warm welcome!

We look forward to your visit to the RETTER Bio-Natur-Resort! There is a spacious, free parking lot for seminar guests, hotel guests and visitors to our restaurant directly at the hotel. For an extra charge of € 7,- per night you can reserve an underground parking space in one of our two garages.

For stays of two nights or more, we will be happy to pick you up from Hartberg free of charge. We kindly ask you to inform the hotel of your pick-up at least 5 days before arrival. The transfer will be charged for bookings made at short notice. Price per trip, for 1 to 3 persons, € 42,-.

A2 Südautobahn to Gleisdorf - exit Gleisdorf West - federal road B54 (direction Hartberg/Vienna) to Kaindorf, approx. in the center of the village turn left to Pöllau, approx. 1 km before Pöllau turn right towards Kirchenackersiedlung, hotel signs (approx. 4.5 km to the hotel).

Arrival from Vienna:
A2 Südautobahn to exit Hartberg, drive through Hartberg (direction Graz) for approx. 2 km at Ring Rasthaus - KREISVERKEHR - first exit on the right towards Pöllau, shortly before Pöllau (approx. 1 km) turn right towards Kirchenackersiedlung (approx. 4.5 km to the hotel), hotel signs.

Arrival from Salzburg:
Salzburg - Radstadt - Schladming - Liezen - Bruck - Stanz im Mürztal/exit KINDBERGDÖRFL - Fischbach - Birkfeld - Pöllau - traffic circle - direction Pöllauberg - hotel signs on the right (3.5 km to the hotel)

Arrival from Linz:
