"The fool in us" is a great challenge and at the same time a longing. The longing for the lightness of being and the depth of love at the same time, for reflection and distraction, for meaning and nonsense, for laughter and tears. It is well known that laughter is healthy, and that laughter at ourselves is the healthiest of all. This is probably the outstanding quality of the fool, who combines all these aspects in himself. But what does this have to do with the fact that we are dedicating this course in February to "the fool within us"? February has always been the month of purification and was named after the Roman purification festival Februa or Februarius. It also bore the epithet of the Roman goddess Juno, who stands for care, relationships, and renewal. We use the stillness and silence for renewal within ourselves. A renewal of our perspectives on ourselves and our lives. During the days of silence, we get used to fasting our thoughts, and all the New Year's resolutions that are still vivid in our minds may now fall on fertile ground, with nothing standing in the way of their implementation. CORONA info We want to offer you and ourselves the security of participating in our courses at a respectful distance and in accordance with hygiene guidelines. In addition, we have equipped ourselves with one of the most modern IONEN air exchangers. This will permanently and almost silently purify the air in the group room with the help of a special virus filter. We will ensure that breaks take place outdoors and provide additional ventilation.

My first silent retreat at Mondsee was a fascinating journey to myself and enabled me to bring pain from times long past back to the surface, to live through it and let it go. Marion and Bernhard lovingly accompanied, encouraged and supported me. I am very grateful and it was certainly only the beginning of my journeys to Mondsee.
