Summary

Every morning we walk/walk for about 1.5 hours. Afterwards we have a healthy breakfast with fruit, oatmeal, nuts, yogurt and milk at 11 am.
In the afternoon we make pottery - using the building technique and/or with potter's wheels (3 hours)
We eat according to the rules of the food pyramid and the 16:8 hour fast. (Food requests can be accommodated)
After dinner there is still time to relax, e.g. in the sauna. You can also sit together comfortably and play a game if you wish (games cupboard available)
We offer you the opportunity to realign yourself. Of course, these are all offers - nobody is forced to take part in everything.
On Mondays and Wednesdays there may be the opportunity to take part in gymnastics and yoga.

Accommodation

The stay in our house has a family flair with 4 guest rooms. We share 2 communal bathrooms and a guest WC. A lounge area and large table are available for the general public as well as a television.
The price of 520 EUR is for accommodation in a 2-bed room. Single room supplement 70 EUR.

There is a small 2-3 person sauna (fee payable) and 1 table tennis table.
In the household live 3 cuddly cats (maybe a problem for strong allergy sufferers)

Catering

We eat according to the rules of the food pyramid and the 16:8 hour fast.

Any dietary requirements (including no diet) can be catered for by arrangement.

On the day of arrival at 6 pm, we eat together and learn a few general rules about nutrition and what to do on vacation.

In the morning, usually at 9 a.m., we walk/walk (approx. 10,000 steps). The Taunustöpferei is located in the middle of the idyllic Taunus. We can walk a different route every day, starting directly from the front door. At 11 a.m. we have breakfast, preferably fruit, nuts, yoghurt and oatmeal. On Wednesdays after breakfast there is time for excursions in the surrounding area.

At 1 pm we start with pottery for about 3 hours.

If you like, you can cook together with me. At 6 pm there will be a warm dinner. Afterwards you can play some games (well-stocked games cupboard available) or just sit together in a cozy atmosphere.

Wednesdays are free between meals - time for an excursion, for example. On Sundays before and Saturdays after the trip, there are also plenty of beautiful excursion destinations in the surrounding area.

A tennis court (2 km) invites you to play (5 EUR/hour) Rackets etc. are available.

Arrival

On the day of arrival, participants arrive between 5 and 6 pm. Pick-up at the train station in Usingen-Wilhelmsdorf is possible on request.

The vacation was wonderful and really did us good. The walks and occasional exercise in the morning were pleasant and just right (not too much and not too little). The hostess cooked delicious meals and made sure that nothing was missing. You could always ask about the pottery and get advice or help if needed. I was able to realize a lot of projects and "let off steam" creatively. I couldn't have imagined a better retreat and would love to come again in the future. I can only recommend it (for people who like to be creative and hike and appreciate a family atmosphere).

Met great people. Everything was very informal. The course instructor responded to the participants. It was all very relaxed and informal. You could give free rein to your creativity when making pottery. Very good food in the evening. All in all, a great experience.

I had a wonderfully relaxing week. In the morning we did sports (walking, gymnastics, yoga, line dancing) and after breakfast and a short break we did some pottery. In the evening we cooked and ate together and then played games. The hostess is a very nice, patient and kind person. My room with a double bed was functionally furnished and very quiet. The pottery workshop is well equipped, you could choose between different types of clay and there was also plenty of inspiration in the form of books, etc. I arrived by car, so I was able to take a trip into the surrounding area on the free Wednesday afternoon. It would probably have been a bit more complicated with public transport. I am happy to recommend the stay there.

Full refund up to 112 days before arrival.
If you cancel up to 56 days before arrival, you will receive a 80% refund of the booking price.
After this, the booking is non-refundable.

If you cancel within the last 7 days, a 50% cancellation fee will be charged.
We reserve the right to cancel the vacation if the minimum number of participants is not reached.
Other dates are available on request for groups (min. 5 people).
If you need a room with bathroom, you can also book a hotel nearby and only take part in the program and meals for 400 EUR per date and person.
