Day 2 - Departure into the vastness: From Amman to Wadi Rum
After a relaxed breakfast at the hotel, your journey south begins - out of the city and into the silence and vastness of the desert. The drive through the Jordanian highlands already shows you the first changes in the landscape.
Once you arrive in Wadi Rum, you enter a different world: red sand dunes, mighty rock formations and a silence that you can almost hear. You are warmly welcomed by Bedouins and introduced to life in the camp - your home for the next few days.
In the afternoon, you go on your first easy hike through the surrounding landscape. Here you quickly feel how the desert slows you down: The sand under your feet, the warm wind, the golden light.
In the evening, a typical Bedouin meal awaits you over an open fire - often cooked in an earth oven - accompanied by sweet tea, exciting stories and a breathtaking starry sky, the likes of which you may never have seen before.
Contents & highlights of the day:
Drive from Amman to Wadi Rum (approx. 4-5 hours)
First hike & getting to know the surroundings
Dinner together & starry sky experience
Overnight stay in a traditional Bedouin tent (with a fixed bed & basic sanitary facilities)
Day 3 - Red wonders of the desert: jeep adventure through the protected area
Today you will experience the full beauty and diversity of Wadi Rum. After breakfast, you will set off on a full-day jeep tour through the protected area of the desert - the so-called Wadi Rum Protected Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
With an experienced Bedouin guide, you will drive deep into the vastness of the desert. Time and again, you will stop at special places to explore the landscape on foot: natural rock bridges, narrow gorges with ancient rock paintings, hidden viewpoints and, of course, the famous red sand dunes.
In between, there is a cozy lunch break in the silence - often the Bedouins even prepare tea and a simple, warm meal in the middle of nowhere.
The day is active, but not overwhelming - there is always time to marvel, take photos, sit in the sand or just look around. You will notice how the desert slows you down and opens you up inside.
In the evening you return to camp, where a freshly prepared dinner awaits you. Afterwards: Campfire, tea, starry sky - and perhaps a few thoughts that sort themselves out.

Day 4 - Hiking day in the rock city of Petra: on the trail of ancient civilizations
Today it's time to get up early and set off for one of the most impressive places in the country - Petra, the legendary rock city of the Nabataeans.
You leave the camp before sunrise, lunch box in hand, and drive towards Petra (approx. 1.5-2 hours). Even the first glimpse of the shimmering red rock facades between narrow gorges is breathtaking.
Petra is huge - far more than just the famous treasure house (Al Khazneh). That's why today you'll be actively exploring one of the various hiking trails that lead you off the beaten track through quiet valleys, over rocky plateaus and to hidden ruins.
A delicious dinner awaits you at our desert camp
Day 5:
Day 5 - Magical trails: Hiking day in the Wadi Rum Trail
Another unforgettable day in the desert awaits you today - all about the Wadi Rum Trail, a network of impressive hiking routes through the protected nature of the valley.
Depending on the group size, energy level and desire for a challenge, there are several hiking options available. Together with the guides, you choose the right route in the morning - each route has its own special charm:
Umm Ashrin: One of the classic routes with sweeping views across the red plain
Al Barrah: A varied hike between narrow gorges and open plateaus
Umm Dami: The highest point in Jordan - a challenging but rewarding climb with views as far as Saudi Arabia
...and other hidden paths that lead deep into the landscape
The hikes usually take between 4 and 6 hours and are designed to leave enough time for breaks, conscious walking and pausing along the way.
At lunchtime, you can enjoy a simple, freshly prepared meal in the middle of the desert - under a shady rocky outcrop or with a view of the vastness.
Return to camp in the afternoon, time to relax, take a shower or simply sit in the sand and reflect on the day. In the evening, a warm meal by the fire awaits you again and a quiet end to the day under the stars.
Contents & highlights of the day:
Choice of a day hike in the Wadi Rum Trail (4-6 hours)
Bedouin guide & escort
Lunch in the desert
Return to camp & relaxed evening with half board
Overnight stay in a Bedouin tent or under the open sky
Day 6 - Rhythm of the desert: camel trekking & moving on in silence
Today you will experience the desert in the most original and probably most impressive way: at the leisurely rhythm of a camel.
After breakfast, you set off on a camel trek lasting several hours - around three hours in the morning through the constantly changing landscape of Wadi Rum. The steady rocking, the quiet tap of the animals in the sand and the vastness that opens up around you have an almost meditative effect.
At lunchtime, you take a break in the middle of the desert. A simple, warm meal is prepared in the traditional way, and there is space to pause, write, rest or simply look around.
The journey continues in the afternoon - another three hours on foot and by camel, accompanied by the light of the setting sun.
It is a day of connection - with yourself, the animal, the rhythm of nature. No noise, no rush, just the path and the feeling of being a part of it.
Back at camp, a last dinner together in the desert awaits - often quieter, calmer, deeper than at the beginning of the journey.
Contents & highlights of the day:
Camel hike in the morning (approx. 3 hours)
Lunch in the middle of the desert
Camel hike in the afternoon (approx. 3 hours)
Return to camp & farewell evening around the campfire
Overnight stay in a Bedouin tent
Day 7 - From the desert to the water: arriving at the Dead Sea
After breakfast, it's time to say goodbye to the desert - with a last look at the red rocks and a quiet "See you soon".
We continue north in a comfortable vehicle - to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. After the days in the desert, arriving here feels almost surreal: the glistening water, the salty air, the luxury of the resort.
You check into your 4- or 5-star resort right on the water and have the rest of the day at leisure. Whether it's floating in the salty water, a spa treatment, sunbathing with a view or simply reflecting in peace - this day is all yours.
Dinner at the hotel in the evening
Overnight stay at the Dead Sea resort | half board
Day 8 - Farewell & journey home
After breakfast, it's time to say goodbye to Jordan. Transfer to Amman airport.
End of the program
When booking your flight, please make sure that you arrive at the airport at least 2.5 hours before departure. The transfer time from the Dead Sea to Amman Airport is approximately 45 minutes.
In your luggage: sand in your shoes, stardust in your heart - and perhaps a little piece of desert that you carry inside you.
