A time-out without eyes - wellness for body, mind & soul

Listening to a piano concert in the shade of the trees. Swimming in lonely forest lakes. Stargazing in the hot tub while the fire crackles quietly in the stove, the surrounding spruce trees disappearing behind hazy clouds of mist as steam rises. Carving wood by the campfire, reminiscing about long-forgotten childhood memories, bidding the day a contented farewell into the night with a cozy, warm silence. These are the kind of jam jar moments surrounded by greenery that the "Blickinsfreie" has in store not only for stressed city souls - a rather unusual retreat in the forests of the upper Vogtland.

René Eckert's career as a filmmaker and photographer has taken him to the most remote parts of the world for 15 years. At home in Vogtland, he organizes waste collection campaigns, and the passionate snowboarder sometimes flies around the globe for four days of work. Until the inconsistency of this reality increasingly gnaws at his conscience. The search begins for a place to ground and bind him, to slow down René's restlessness. In his old home, the Upper Vogtland, a former accordion factory on the edge of a spruce forest finally became his haven of peace in 2014. At the same time, it marks the start of what is perhaps the much-traveled filmmaker's greatest adventure.

René finds deep contentment in the simplicity of country life. But this place, which he symbolically calls "Blickinsfreie", has become more than just a personal focal point, it has also become a creative space for numerous projects: here he organizes summer and winter festivals, music events and weddings in the countryside.

For five years now, René has been organizing the "Blickinsfreie Auszeit" for young families who want to escape from city life: a sustainable wellness weekend between forest concerts, a sauna hut and the most beautiful children's playground in the world - the spruce forest. The number of participants is limited to 50 adults and their children in order to offer a high degree of tranquillity and exclusivity. Renowned musicians such as Hania Rani, Niklas Paschburg and Dobrawa Czocher have already been here and keep coming back.

You have the chance to get one of the 20 beds. However, this only applies while stocks last. As soon as the beds are exhausted, you will have to move to our orchard or the forest.
The campsite or bus site is of course included in the price, but you must bring your own tent :-) Logical!

Dear people!

There will be an extensive catering offer the whole weekend. A good friend (owner of the Brazilian Cafe Olinda in Plauen) will conjure up various delicacies with organically grown vegetables from our permaculture garden. All drinks and food will be offered at very fair prices. You don't have to bring anything, from sweet to savory, from breakfast to midnight snack, from soda to wine, everything is included.
