From the outside, your life probably doesn’t look all that bad. Education, a job, relationships—a lot of it works out, and some of it might even be perfect. But what nobody sees is just how incredibly exhausting it all is for you and how drained you are when you collapse into bed at night.
Because you’ve learned to pull yourself together and fit in so that no one notices. You make lists, double-check everything, smile through it all, and pull an all-nighter if you have to. For years, you’ve criticized yourself for supposedly being “too chaotic, too sensitive, too emotional”—somehow always too much and yet never enough. And somehow always different from everyone else.
And then, at some point, comes the suspicion or the diagnosis: late-diagnosed ADHD.
First, there’s immense relief. A life story that finally makes sense and an explanation that no longer feels like personal failure.
But shortly after, you’re left standing there with a head full of new questions, sadness, and anger: What happens now? And who am I, really, without all my masks and strategies?
That’s exactly what this retreat is about. Take off the masks. Take a deep breath.
✦ What you can look forward to
This retreat is definitely not just another attempt to “optimize” you. Nor is it a crash course on how to “get your ADHD under control.”
Instead, we’re simply turning the tables: We’re not looking at how you adapt to life—but how you can adapt your life to YOU. Instead of playing by the rules of a world that was never yours, we’ll explore YOUR very own rules of the game together.
* I’m your ADHD sister by your side: With me, you’ll find a mask-free space where you’re understood. You don’t have to worry about whether you’re doing too much or too little, and you don’t have to figure things out all on your own anymore.
* Working without pressure: We’ll work exactly the way your nervous system needs right now—in a low-stimulus, quiet spot in nature, in a lounge chair, while walking through the woods, or in a creative way. Always at your own pace, with plenty of space for true retreat and silence.
* The result: You won’t go home with a rigid, perfect plan (we both know that wouldn’t work anyway). But you’ll leave with a noticeably deeper connection to yourself, the profound realization that you never want to diminish yourself again and that you deserve to be taken seriously, and the permission to finally be exactly who you are.
✦ The Next Step
As you read this, you might feel that this topic resonates with you.
And at the same time, you might be wondering whether my retreat is really the right fit for you right now.
You don’t have to decide that just yet—that’s exactly what the introductory conversation is for.
We’ll talk with no strings attached, see where you’re at right now, answer your questions, and just see if we click.
The conversation is free and lasts about 15 minutes.
Afterward, you’ll have a clear sense of which next step feels right for you.
Note: Of course, you don’t need an ADHD diagnosis to participate in this retreat. I don’t make diagnoses, and I don’t provide therapy. This retreat is not a substitute for medical or psychotherapeutic treatment; rather, it’s a psychoeducational and guided space for self-discovery.
My nature-based retreats can only take place during the warmer months, from approximately June through October, so I can only guide a limited number of women and men per season. Please be sure to secure your preferred date for 2026 well in advance.

✦ How I Work
I’m Sabine, a psychological counselor and the woman behind “The Green Couch.” I support people through life transitions, especially when it comes to reconnecting with themselves, taking their boundaries seriously, and no longer ignoring their own needs.
• With heart, humor, and clarity: I take a nervous-system-friendly and neurodivergent-friendly approach, but I also bring honesty and a willingness to explore with you the areas where things get uncomfortable.
• Undivided attention: With me, you’ll receive something that’s become rare: plenty of time. During your retreat, I’m there exclusively and one-on-one just for you and your process.
• No “functioning,” no “performing”: Many experience their time with me as a safe haven from everyday life. Simply be cared for for a few days, take a deep breath, and explore together with someone the burden you’ve been carrying alone for far too long.
Since this intensive form of support requires my full presence, I deliberately work with only a small, limited number of women and men per season (June through October).
The Foundation of My Work
Training in life and social counseling, couples and sex therapy, bodywork, human energetics, shamanism, and nature and wilderness education. Over the years, this has evolved into my very own style: psychologically grounded, nature-based, and deeply grounding.
✦ The Retreat Location
My lovingly maintained place of power is located in the Murtal valley in Styria. It’s surrounded by lush green nature and nestled between mountains, forests, and water. It’s a place to take a deep breath, completely free of TV, radio noise, or the constant digital buzz that keeps you constantly disconnected from yourself.
Instead, you’ll find: nature’s cinema with the murmur of a stream and a chorus of birds. No Wi-Fi, but a full connection to yourself. Nature is far more than just a beautiful backdrop here: it helps regulate your overloaded nervous system and is an active part of our shared process.
✦ What Your Days with Me Will Look Like
Your retreat follows a clear structure, but isn’t meticulously scheduled down to the minute.
We work with whatever arises in the moment.
• Day 1: Arrival & Settling In You’ll arrive at your own pace starting at 3:00 p.m. Afterward, we’ll get to know each other during our first “Walk & Talk” in nature and take a look at the topic that brought you to me. The evening is all about winding down: a cozy dinner, taking a deep breath, and stargazing.
• Day 2: Deepening & Process Work The heart of your retreat. After breakfast, we’ll focus entirely on your topic. Depending on what your system needs at the moment, we’ll work through conversation, walking in nature, creative activities, or body awareness. In between, there will be regular breaks to process, reflect, and rest.
The day ends with dinner once again.
• Day 3: Integration & Transfer After breakfast together, we’ll take time to reflect on the experience: What has come to light? What has become clearer, and how will you take this new strength back with you into your everyday life? Your retreat ends around 10:00 a.m.
