This retreat with Carmen Kerler at the Mountain Retreat Center in Chiemgau combines conscious movement, yoga, and breathwork into a holistic practice that challenges you physically while clearing your mind. Breathwork is the conscious application of various breathing techniques to regulate the nervous system, promote inner clarity, and bring the body and mind into balance.
Body-Art® is based on the five elements of traditional Chinese medicine and combines functional movement sequences with mindfulness and breath control. Strength, mobility, and stability are not achieved through pressure, but through precision and body intelligence. Each sequence flows—carried by the breath, at your own pace.
Breathwork deepens this experience. Sometimes the movement follows the breath, sometimes the breath leads into the movement. Different breathing techniques have a regulating effect on the nervous system, promote focus, and release tension. This creates a natural rhythm between activation and integration. The morning sessions are clarifying, centering, and powerful. In the evening, the practice becomes calmer, more balancing, and more integrating. Between sessions, there is time for walks through the surrounding meadows, for moments on a bench with a view of the mountain landscape, or for soothing warmth in the Swiss stone pine sauna with a view of the Chiemgau mountains. The Mountain Retreat Center, with its bright seminar rooms and panoramic view of nature, creates a clear framework for this retreat. The vegetarian-vegan full board helps you feel light and well cared for. This retreat is aimed at anyone who wants to experience movement in a new way, use their breath consciously, and develop inner stability—regardless of whether you come from a yoga background or appreciate functional forms of training.
