Arillas is a small, quiet village on the northwest coast of Corfu, nestled between green hills, olive groves and the vast blue of the Ionian Sea. The place is known for its peaceful, open atmosphere - a place of power for people seeking inner contemplation, encounters and a connection to nature.
The long sandy beach of Arillas is perfect for long walks, gentle swims and sunsets that will move you with their colorful splendor. The village itself has remained charming, informal and original - with cozy tavernas, small stores and a soothing tranquillity that quickly makes you forget everyday life.
You can feel it in Arillas: Everything is allowed to slow down here. No mass tourism, but a place where many people consciously meet each other - open, warm, attentive.
The mild, Mediterranean climate makes May and September the ideal months for a seminar trip:
In May, the island begins to blossom, everything is fresh and green, the temperatures are pleasantly warm (around 22-26 °C) and the sea is already inviting for a swim.
September brings ripe abundance - the light is soft, the days are still sunny (approx. 25-29 °C), the sea is wonderfully warm and the island begins to come to rest.
Whether you listen to the sound of the waves in the morning or dance under the starry sky in the evening - Arillas offers space for encounters with yourself and others, in a natural beauty that touches you.
Arillas is located in the northwest of Corfu, approx. 45 km from Corfu Town (Kerkyra) and the international airport. The drive from there to Arillas takes about 60 minutes, depending on traffic. The route leads through green landscapes and small villages - a first taste of the island's special energy.
Arrival by plane
Corfu can be reached directly from many German, Austrian and Swiss airports during the season (April-October). Especially in May and September there is a good selection of direct flights - e.g. from Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Hamburg, Vienna and Zurich.
Arrival by ferry
Alternatively, you can also reach Corfu via the Greek mainland - e.g. by ferry from Igoumenitsa (regular connections, approx. 1.5-hour crossing). Igoumenitsa is easily accessible by bus, rental car or domestic flight.
Mobility on site
For the journey from the airport to Arillas and for exploring the island we recommend:
Rental car (cheap and flexible, available directly at the airport)
scooter
Shuttles or cabs (e.g. can be organized via the seminar house or local providers)
In Arillas itself, many things are within walking distance - the beach, tavernas, stores and seminar venues are all close by. If you also want to discover small bays, mountain villages or neighboring beaches, you can enjoy additional freedom with a vehicle.
