Summary

In an old farmhouse in southern Sweden, surrounded by beautiful nature, we will spend a week together in a group of four to six people learning how to throw pots on a potter's wheel. The course is suitable for bachelorette parties, a vacation with friends, a girls' week, or a family outing. I offer pottery classes on the potter's wheel for children aged 12 and up. Younger children can model and shape the clay freely. We use modern electric pottery wheels. The course lasts one week, from Saturday to Saturday. You will learn how to work with different types of clay and porcelain.

In the afternoons, there is time for activities such as boating, swimming, cycling, hiking, sauna, reading, relaxing, cooking and baking together, talking, and playing. The course takes place in the land of glassblowers in southern Sweden. If you are interested, a one-day glassblowing course can be organized as an option. An excursion to a moose park, approx. 30 km away, is also possible. Or we can drive together to Astrid Lindgren's world in Vimmerby. Accommodation in the house is rather simple. There are two double rooms, a sleeping loft under the sloping roof, and a double bed under the gable. The hostess will take care of your physical well-being and ensure you have a comfortable stay.

Built in 1896, the vacation home stands on a 2,800 square meter meadow property that extends into the adjacent forest. In addition to the main house, the grounds feature a large pottery workshop and an old barn that houses a wood storage area, woodworking shop, and winter garden. For evenings, there is a sauna and a wood-fired hot tub, and the beautiful terrace can be used to round off the day. The house is furnished with beautiful old Swedish furniture and modern technology. In the kitchen, meals are cooked on an old wood-burning stove or a modern ceramic hob. There is sleeping accommodation for four guests, and internet/WiFi is also available.
