Clear your head in the vastness of the Mühlviertel. Discover the pure joy of doing and lose yourself in a moment of silence while works of art are created from paper in your hands. A time-out that expresses your creativity sheet by sheet: paper-making at the Kleebauer Hof Retreat Center.

The 800-year-old square farm in a secluded location with a view over the hilly landscape of the Mühlviertel offers the ideal atmosphere for a sustainable break. Try out new things, clear your head and feel the impetus for change. You will find retreat and peace at the natural swimming pond, in the woods and in the vastness of the gently rolling landscape. Enjoy moments of relaxation in the pine-scented sauna and in the evening in a cozy atmosphere around the fire bowl.

Modern, vegetarian-vegan cuisine awaits you at the Kleebauer Hof Retreat Center. Start the day with a feel-good breakfast with breads, jams, cheese, freshly prepared porridge, fruit, various types of milk, yogurt, fruit juices, spreads, coffee and different teas. At 2 pm we serve you a light lunch with a warming soup and spreads with bread or pastries.

At the Kleebauer Hof Retreat Center, your program leader will show you every step of the paper-making process. It is fascinating to see how unique pieces are created from waste paper and water. An ancient craft becomes tangible - and with it the mindful calm that arises in the creative process. Use flowers and delicate grasses to design sustainable gift cards, bookmarks, stationery and much more. As you indulge in the process of creating paper, you will notice that your thoughts become calm. Arrive in the here and now.

Between the sessions you have time for yourself: explore the countless hiking trails and the chakra trail around the Kleebauer Hof. Relax in the Swiss stone pine sauna and by the natural bathing pond with a view of the Mühlviertel hills. Or start your days with yoga and attend one of the sessions of the open yoga program (optional, payable on site).

Scope of program: Daily creative units of four hours each. One session of two hours each on the day of arrival and departure.

By car
From Linz: via Ottensheim on the Rohrbacher Bundesstraße to Altenfelden
From Passau: via Oberkappel or Engelhartszell to Altenfelden

By train and bus
Travel by train to Linz main station, from here there are regular bus connections to Altenfelden, pick-up from the Altenfelden Ort bus stop is included at fixed times:
Pick-up from the bus: 14.08 h and 15.08 h (registration at least 24 hours before arrival)
Transfer to the bus: 09.50 h and 10.50 h.
