Summary

on turning and creating ceramics for beginners

Guided by the experienced ceramic artist Eva Koj, we will learn how to turn vessels on the potter's wheel. In order to turn a simple vessel, it is particularly important to center the clay. Once we have got the hang of it, we will focus on the shape and surface of our bowls. We experiment with other techniques such as transferring engobes onto the vessels to add additional structures and vibrant color aspects. Finally, we will turn our vessels in a leather-hard state to give them a final finish.
The workshop is suitable for beginners, but also for participants with some experience in turning.

Materials and firing costs of €40 per person are payable separately.
Firing, glazing and shipping will be charged separately at cost.
