Summary

In an old farmhouse in the south of Sweden, in beautiful natural surroundings, we will spend a week learning how to turn on the potter's wheel together in a group of four to six people. The course is suitable for e.g. hen parties, as a vacation with friends, for a girlfriends week or for a family. For children I offer pottery on the wheel from the age of 12. Younger children can model freely and shape the clay.

We make pottery on modern electric potter's wheels. The course lasts one week and runs from Saturday to Saturday. You will learn how to work with different types of clay and porcelain.

In the afternoons there is time for activities such as boating, swimming, cycling, hiking, saunas, reading, lazing around, cooking and baking together, talking and playing. The course takes place in the land of glassblowers in southern Sweden. If you are interested, a one-day glassblowing course can be organized as an option. A trip to an elk park about 30 km away is also possible. Or we can drive together to Astrid Lindgren's Värld in Vimmerby.

The accommodation in the house is rather basic. There are two double rooms, a bunk under the sloping roof and a double bed under the gable. The hostess takes care of your physical well-being and ensures a comfortable stay.

The vacation home, built in 1896, stands on a 2,800 square meter meadow property that extends into the adjacent forest. In addition to the main house, there is a large pottery workshop and an old barn with a wood store, wood workshop and conservatory. There is a sauna and a wood-heated hot tub for the evenings, and the beautiful terrace can be used at the end of the day.

The house is furnished with beautiful old Swedish furniture and modern technology. In the kitchen you can cook on an old wooden stove or on a modern ceramic hob. There is sleeping accommodation for four guests, as well as Internet/WLAN.
