Drawing and painting in Italy with yoga

This course helps you to come back to yourself and activate your creativity and artistic talents. Morning yoga helps you to get into your body and out of your spinning thoughts.

The right start for your creative process! You'll be able to get into your creative flow with ease, get off your everyday hamster wheel and simply enjoy and create. On this drawing and painting journey, you will learn to immerse yourself and focus on your drawings and paintings. But you will also learn to work big, small and new, according to nature and also completely freely. Marina Buening, an experienced lecturer in art at various universities, will be at your side with help and advice, tasks, impulses and valuable knowledge.

The focus of this art trip is on drawing and painting: Learning to draw, learning drawing techniques, dealing with color in drawing but also watercolor painting.

Drawing is a very complex process and there are many approaches. At the same time, it is one of the oldest means of artistic expression known to mankind.

We will deal with very specific drawing techniques, such as sketching from nature, but also draw very freely and integrate both. Due to the small group size, you will be accompanied in your very personal process so that you can find your artistic expression and leave your comfort zone on the one hand, but also discover your personal style and preferences. The course is suitable for beginners with some previous knowledge but also for advanced students. Due to the small group size, each participant can be catered for individually. If you register after May 1st, the price increases to €880.00

Agriturismo le Cerque is a special place. The old estate is surrounded by a park-like garden with mature trees. It has been carefully and tastefully restored. The highlight is the studio, which serves as a workroom for our course: it is completely glazed at the front, can be opened wide and offers a sweeping view of the valley and the swimming pool. Modern and sober, the studio offers us the space we need to develop our creativity.
If we get too hot during the creative process, we jump into the pool. Participants can choose to stay at Agriturismo Le Cerque or in the immediate vicinity (depending on the number of participants). Agritourismo le Cerque offers small apartments as well as several rooms in the main house.

All rooms are lovingly decorated with great attention to detail. Spacious double rooms are available.

On request and with a surcharge of 30 percent on the accommodation price, participants of the art tour can also book single rooms. However, single rooms are only available in limited numbers.

We are catered for and pampered on site. Always with fresh products from local producers, if possible. The food is always freshly cooked for us by a professional chef, vegetarian and mostly organic. The cuisine is light and delicious, based on the principles of Mediterranean cuisine. No wishes will be left unfulfilled. Meals are included in the price of the accommodation! Meals are included in the price of the agritourism (695€) not in the course price!

The art course extends over 5 hours per day under the professional guidance of artist and art lecturer Marina Buening: on six days (the dates always refer to the day of arrival and departure). An hour of yoga is offered in the morning and guided meditation on some evenings. We work for 2.5 hours in the morning and then another 2.5 hours after a long lunch break. In the morning, the day is planned and the tasks of the day are described and guided. In the afternoon, you will continue to work intensively on your own projects with the support of the course leader.

During the course we also go on short excursions and walks. Here you can draw and get to know the surroundings.
We will start with drawing to warm up, gain confidence and then move on to larger projects. Then we will slowly move on to color and painting. But there will also be completely free exercises where you paint more abstractly or draw with unusual tools. This mixture of nature and free work helps to discover completely new dimensions and to get out of the ordinary. Each individual is accompanied very individually, so it is also possible for advanced students to participate. Please note that the arrival and departure on each date is on different days of the week.

The best way to travel from Germany is by plane. From Fiumicino, one of the airports, there is a train that goes directly to Collevecchio. From Ciampino it is a little more complicated but there is also the possibility to take this train. Of course it is also possible to arrive by car or train. More information is available after registration. We pick up from Collevecchio station. Collevecchio is about 70 km north of Rome. You could also combine your stay with a trip to Rome.
