I would also like to introduce myself to you:
I am Katharina Schick and my two great values that guide me in my life and work are freedom and kindness or love. And you probably know that it's not always easy to actually live these values in everyday life. It is so easy to get caught up in old patterns and behaviors and so often we are kind to others, but we are the hardest on ourselves.
And that's probably where my story begins, searching for how we humans are wired this way and how we can enable ourselves to go through life more freely and with more love. As a neuroscientist, I have studied the brain as a fascinating organ that controls our bodies. But so much more happens in the brain with thoughts and emotions, which is why I also studied psychology to understand the processes in another way. I then trained in mindfulness (MBSR) and self-compassion (MBCL), emigrated to Rome and also became a yoga teacher.
A long journey from which I learned a lot, but also that while knowledge is great, it is the practice of how we actually implement freedom and (self-)love that makes the real difference to our lives.
That is why I have decided to offer a retreat that is all about this: enjoying life together (with wonderful Italian food fresh from the place), meditating (guided, in silence and with yoga in motion) and looking together at how we can show ourselves more love and make our lives a little easier and more joyful (and also pass this on to our fellow human beings). And I cordially invite you to join us! 🧡
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Yours, Katharina Schick
