Summary

Yin yoga is a gentle, meditative practice that goes beyond pure muscle training. The fascia, ligaments and joints are gently stimulated through the long, passive holding of the positions without exerting force. At the same time, the mind calms down, the breath becomes calmer and deep relaxation sets in. Yin yoga helps to release tension, improve flexibility and harmonize the flow of energy in the body. The focus is not on muscle strength, but on surrender, letting go and mindfulness.

In our modern, often hectic world, the yang aspect predominates - activity, performance and movement take center stage. Yin yoga provides the missing balance: instead of intensive muscle work, the connective tissue is targeted, which is essential for maintaining healthy joints in the long term. While muscles adapt quickly through training, fascia and ligaments need gentle, long-lasting stimuli to remain supple and resilient. Particularly with increasing age, it is not the muscles but the joints that cause problems. Yin yoga counteracts this and provides flexibility and well-being.

Our Yin Yoga seminars offer a variety of focuses to experience the gentle power of this practice from different perspectives:

🕉 Yin Yoga (09.-11.05.) - an introduction to the world of Yin, where you learn to sink deeply into the postures and let go. 🕉 Yin Bhakti Love (30.05.-01.06.) - a combination of Yin Yoga with Bhakti, the yoga of the heart, where devotion and love take center stage. 🕉 Yin yoga and fascia training (06.06.-09.06., 01.-03.08.) - targeted exercises for fascia health that release tension and keep the connective tissue supple.
🕉 Yin yoga with intuitive soundscapes (15.-20.06.) - a special experience in which sounds and vibrations intensify the meditative depth of the practice.

Catering

For lunch and dinner, you can look forward to rich meals every day - vegan wholefood buffet. If you also like breakfast, you will find fruit at the buffet from 8 a.m. as a snack after meditation, or for a snack in between. Tea and water throughout the day.

We only use fresh, organic food for our dishes. We attach great importance to seasonal, sustainable products and support local farmers and partners.

Fresh salads, cucumber, carrot, beet and two different dressings are the main components of our buffet. For those who prefer to eat warm, steamed vegetable platters made from broccoli, carrots, sweet potatoes and fennel as well as curries, dal and soups are a great alternative to the green raw food bar. There is also always a selection of good oils, grains and seeds. Bread and gluten-free alternatives as well as homemade vegan spreads are available for brunch.

All our dishes are homemade and 100% organic. If you have any questions about allergens, there is a list with information for allergy sufferers at the buffet. The dishes will then be labeled according to the list.

SEMINAR BEGINS punctually at 20:00 with meditation. Please arrive on time.
The rooms are available from 15:00. At 4:30 pm (Fri./Sun., other days: 4:15 pm) there is a yoga class and dinner at 6:00 pm. Weekend seminars end on Sunday at approx. 2.30 pm.

Arrival

The house is located in the south-western part of the Westerwald between Neuwied and Altenkirchen, 5 km from the A3 and 3 km from the climatic health resort of Horhausen. By car it is about 75 minutes from Frankfurt, 60 minutes from Wiesbaden or Cologne, 45 minutes from Koblenz or Bonn.

Arrival by car:
-> From the A3: Frankfurt-Cologne, highway exit 36 Neuwied-Altenkirchen (not Dierdorf-Neuwied, not Neustadt/Wied). Take the B256 towards Altenkirchen.
Drive through Willroth, Horhausen, Güllesheim. After Güllesheim, after approx. 1.5 km, turn right into a forest path. After 700 meters you are in front of the house.
-> From the A61: At the Koblenz interchange, take the A48 towards Frankfurt. At the Dernbacher Dreieck junction, take the A3 towards Bonn/Cologne. Then continue as described above.
-> From Altenkirchen: B256 direction Neuwied. Drive past Oberlahr. 1 km after Oberlahr, turn left onto a forest road.

By train and bus:
From Neuwied station (bus platform E) or from Altenkirchen (Westerwald) station, bus number 120 runs regularly to the destination stop: Kardinal-Höffner Platz in Horhausen (Westerwald).
From there, we offer a free shuttle service to the ashram between 9 am and 8 pm. If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please register at least one day in advance by e-mail or telephone! No pick-up is possible on Thursdays between 11:30 and 15:00.
