We love this sentence which, like in a poem, describes the most beautiful thing our love and life partner could say to us: "Ich Bin Durch Dich So Ich". It is a book title by Brother David Steindl-Rast and it is exactly how we want to describe the essence of this retreat for couples.
With this retreat, we want to give you an unforgettable experience: the discovery of how you can live a relationship where everyone can be themselves so much in the lived, everyday togetherness and blossom in it that they can truly say: "I become so much more me through you." In your presence, I become more and more who I really am. I grow from and in your presence - together we create a "holding environment" in which we both - and other people who are dear to us - blossom more and more.
We have both been working for many years on how we can create what we describe with and for each other and are still exploring and discovering. Our wild and enchanting land of eight hectares, with its ancient cork oaks and olive and fruit trees and huge, gentle rock formations, supports us greatly in this and offers itself to you from the bottom of our hearts. We offer you our guidance and a sequential sequence of supportive practices that will enable you to cultivate a special depth, closeness and aliveness with each other.
Some of these practices have to do with our body intelligence - they invite your body to move as it wants to express itself. They are a kind of movement meditation where we also meet each other - playful practices designed to feel our embodied presence with each other, to express our aliveness. These "Relational Presence" practices also invite us to connect more deeply with the beautiful nature around us.
Some practices are about learning to be more and more aware of yourself and each other and finding your own language for this. It is a way of being a trustworthy witness to each other and looking with ever fresh eyes. This practice is particularly valuable because it strengthens a valuable capacity for our spiritual development: the embodied witness within ourselves, our ability to remain present within ourselves and with each other, even when we are triggered or when conflicts arise, for example. These practices can also be called relational yoga or "inter-subjective meditation" - but they are easy to learn, it is a practice you relax into. We learn the art of attunement and how we can act as co-regulators of our nervous system for each other.
In every couple, non-integrated parts of ourselves from the past also emerge. We also like to accompany you in such integration processes, and explore how you can support each other in healing each other, in the retreat and if desired before and/or after.
In short: in this retreat you will practice meditation-in-contact, an unconditional presence-in-relationship anchored in the body.
