Catering

Every day at lunchtime and in the evening, you can enjoy hearty meals – a vegan wholefood buffet. If you like to eat breakfast, fruit is available at the buffet from 8 a.m., as a snack after meditation, or for a quick bite between meals. Tea and water are available throughout the day.

We only use fresh, organic ingredients in our dishes. We place great importance on seasonal, sustainable products and support local farmers and partners. Fresh salads, cucumber, carrots, beetroot, and two different dressings are the main components of our buffet. For those who prefer warm food, steamed vegetable platters of broccoli, carrots, sweet potatoes, and fennel, as well as curries, dal, and soups, are a great alternative to the green raw food bar. In addition, there is always a selection of good oils, grains, and seeds. Bread or gluten-free alternatives and homemade vegan spreads are available for brunch.

Information for allergy sufferers All our dishes are homemade and 100% organic. If you have any questions about allergens, there is a list with information for allergy sufferers at the buffet. The dishes are then labeled according to the list.

Program: - 1-2 yoga classes daily (100 min each) Friday & Sunday afternoon from 4:30 p.m.: special yoga class to arrive and unwind (including meditation, introduction, and welcome)
- 2x daily meditation with or without guidance, mantra chanting, short lecture or reading - Every day 1-2 lectures providing a thorough introduction to all aspects of holistic yoga, meditation, healthy eating and healthy lifestyle, or massage workshops - Afternoon walks, excursions, hikes in beautiful natural surroundings in consultation with the group
- Twice daily, a rich vegan buffet with fresh, delicious salads, fruit, muesli, bread, jams, and hot dishes—all guaranteed to be organically grown - Free supporting programs such as Nordic walking, guided meditative walks, daily fire ceremony, mantra recitation, sound massage, and much more

On request, you can book additional massages or consultations, such as a yoga therapy consultation, during which our therapists can advise you on specific complaints and work out a personalized exercise plan with you, or an Ayurveda consultation with valuable tips for a type-appropriate diet and lifestyle. And, of course, you can pamper yourself with Ayurvedic and other massages and let your soul unwind in the Ayurvedic oasis of calm – pure relaxation! Rooms are available from 3:00 p.m. At 4:30 p.m. (Fri/Sun, other days: 4:15 p.m.) there is a yoga class and at 6:00 p.m. dinner (both free of charge or included). Weekend seminars end on Sunday at approx. 2:30/3:00 p.m., longer seminars end on the last day after brunch at approx. 12:00 p.m.

Arrival

The Yoga Vidya seminar house is idyllically located on the edge of the old spa town of Bad Meinberg. The location is quiet and central at the same time. Therefore, it is easily accessible by train or car. Larger cities in the vicinity include Paderborn (27 km away), Bielefeld (35 km away), and Hanover (100 km away).

If traveling by train, we recommend choosing the Horn-Bad Meinberg station as your destination, which is approximately 5 km from Yoga Vidya. Yoga Vidya Bad Meinberg offers a free shuttle service to the seminar house, which picks you up from the train station in Horn-Bad Meinberg between 8:30 a.m. and 7:15 p.m.

For me it was a wonderful program to start a new year relaxed and strengthened! There were very varied yoga classes and meditations on offer, wonderful musical accompaniment too and the food was healthy, varied and delicious...so everything was great for me! I enjoyed it very much!

It was a nice and quiet week. I took a lot of good food for thought with me. I can't follow everything, but I don't think that's a negative thing for my experience this week. Overall, I was able to learn a lot and expand my knowledge of yoga practice.

I spent a retreat week at the Yoga Vidya center at the end of February. The range of yoga, meditation and information courses and the leisure program were simply sensational. There was something for everyone! As far as accommodation and meals are concerned, however, you have to go back to the level of a youth hostel and not have high expectations. But in view of the fantastic program, clearly four stars!

Unfortunately it was not as described, in the booked 4 bed room I stayed alone, the food was just far too little for me and especially because there was no breakfast extremely long gaps between the food. I would not do this vacation again!
