Summary

Start and let yourself be guided and surprised by the image. This results in the exciting creation of images that are NEW, creating space for creativity, changeable effects, and truly new solutions. Through guidance, the processes, sudden breaks, and completely new possibilities are made conscious, giving rise to genuine choices. The interventions lead the painters beyond their learned limitations.

We do not work with interpretations, illustrations, symbols, or meanings. We create images whose meaning can be revealed to us in many ways as we paint and engage with the image. The process of painting requires guidance, as we as painters often overlook or initially reject new things, avoid what is frightening, and tend to follow familiar paths. As a painting instructor, I accompany the process in a supportive, clarifying, confronting, and compassionate manner and take care of the images. Based on Gestalt therapy, the images are clarified through painting, not explained through talking. The 'birth of the image' is the essential thing, not a conversation afterwards. Painting weekends and painting days take place on an ongoing basis.

A painting weekend costs €290, from Saturday 1:30 p.m. to Sunday 4 p.m. Painting days cost €165. The dates are not displayed correctly. It is always on Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. There are also holiday painting weeks in Crete.

Accommodation

Many participants come from outside the area and need accommodation. There are beautiful hotels and lodgings in Münster-Wolbeck and the surrounding area, e.g. landhotel-muenster Ludolf Haus ferienwohnung-van-der-pijl 50 meters from the studio If you are traveling by car or bicycle, accommodation directly on the Werse river is also worthwhile.

There are many places to stay in Münster city center, and you can then take the bus or bike to Münster-Wolbeck.

Times for painting days: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. / €145
Times for painting weekends: Sat 1:30–4 p.m. and 5–7:30 p.m., Sun 10 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and 1:30–4 p.m. / €290 We always start with a short round of introductions to get to know each other. You don't need to have a problem to be able to do guided painting. All you need is curiosity about new things. In guided painting, we always work individually with your process. In the studio, there are agreements that support the process: - I support the painters in putting things/images in order instead of destroying them out of dissatisfaction.
- To ensure that all painters can experience and go through their processes in the best possible way, it is helpful not to talk about the pictures of other painters. - And so that I, as the painting instructor, can be in close contact with the processes and the painters, I hang up and take down the pictures. Together, we look at whether a picture is finished or whether and what can still be done.
- Accompanied painting also means that, as the painting instructor, I participate in the painting process in a supportive, clarifying, compassionate, and confrontational manner—I make sure that everyone can paint as undisturbed as possible—for example, by ensuring that all cell phones are turned off (exceptions are discussed).
