At the Kleebauer Hof Retreat Center, you can enjoy modern vegetarian and vegan cuisine. Start your day with a heartwarming breakfast featuring breads, jams, cheese, freshly made porridge, fruit, a variety of milk options, yogurt, fruit juices, spreads, coffee, and a selection of teas. At 2:00 p.m., we serve a light lunch featuring a warming soup as well as spreads with bread or pastries.

These inspiring impulses invite you to discover new paths of writing and let yourself be carried away by fresh impressions.

In the afternoon, calm settles in—time to gather impressions, deepen thoughts, and let one’s own words flow onto paper. In this stillness, texts emerge that build bridges and serve as lighthouses—texts that can accompany us in everyday life and provide guidance.

Here, spelling rules and perfect phrasing don’t matter. Instead, the focus is on uncovering life’s stories and capturing the experiences of the moment. The program invites anyone who finds joy in writing or who wishes to discover themselves through writing—no prior experience required. For writing enthusiasts, it offers a chance to further explore and deepen their own creative path.

At its core lies the conviction: We are the authors of our own lives. And during these days spent together, poems and texts emerge that bring this creative potential to life.

From Linz: via Ottensheim on the Rohrbach federal highway to Altenfelden
From Passau: via Oberkappel or Engelhartszell to Altenfelden

By train and bus:
Take the train to Linz Hauptbahnhof; from there, there are regular bus connections to Altenfelden. Pickup from the “Altenfelden Ort” bus stop is included at fixed times:
Pickup from the bus: 2:08 p.m. and 3:08 p.m. (Registration required at least 24 hours before arrival)
Transfer to the bus: 9:50 a.m. and 10:50 a.m.
