according to Dr. phil. Bettina Egger and lic.phil. Jörg Merz
Direction: MIHK / Germany: Katina Kalpakidou
Training and relaxation in beautiful surroundings
The training is aimed at art and psychotherapists who want to initiate and accompany change processes through painting.
LOM® comes into play precisely where thinking, talking and expressing do not help sufficiently.
With the LOM® training you complete a certified further training course.
Prerequisites for participation
- Suitable basic psychotherapeutic / art therapy training, e.g. completion of the advanced level in accompanied painting / person-oriented painting therapy / art therapy
- or a degree in psychology with completed psychotherapy training
- or equivalent
In addition, participation in at least one LOM®live orientation block is mandatory for admission to the LOM® training course. It serves to get to know each other, provide orientation and information so that you can find out what can be worked on with LOM® and how LOM® is used. We work practically by giving each participant the opportunity to experience the LOM® way of working and its effects on an issue of their choice.

LOM® solution-oriented painting therapy
is a pictorial method that can be used in painting studios as well as in coaching sessions, in classrooms and in therapeutic practices. It is equally suitable for groups and individuals.
The aim is to replace disturbing memory images with undisturbed images in the brain. The images are selected in relation to specific concerns before painting and then painted as they are seen or in their simplest form. The aim is to create a new, neutral impression. (B. Egger)
The LOM method includes a specially developed anamnesis and diagnostic method as well as a specific intervention technique.
