Mindfulness yoga according to the 5 elements - Chiemgau

Retreat to the Mountain Retreat Center in the Chiemgau mountains. The Retreat Center has 19 rooms with views of the impressive natural landscape of the Alps. It can happen that you are amazed out of nowhere. Again and again. Each of our rooms is a special kind of retreat in its own right. Small, fine, cozy. Some have their own bathroom and toilet, some share a bathroom and toilet with other program participants, but all have a washbasin in the room.

The full board at the Mountain Retreat Center is vegetarian and vegan. The most important meal of the day, at least according to the Chinese, is breakfast. That's why we also attach particular importance to a good, healthy breakfast - always including warm porridge. For lunch you enjoy soup, bread and spreads, and in the evening you are treated to a delicious buffet with salad, creative vegetarian-vegan main courses and a dessert. Always freshly cooked and as seasonal as possible. Intolerances can be catered for by prior arrangement.

Immerse yourself in a world of mindfulness during your daily yoga and meditation practice. The themes of the sessions are tailored to the different meridian cycles. Through long stretches that make your body flexible, harmonize your emotions and calm your mind, Yin Yoga has a holistic effect.

The morning sessions are gentle and precise. You move from Yang into Yin. Practice flowing sequences of movements according to the 5 elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Supplemented by pranayama (breathing exercises), yoga nidra and guided meditation. The afternoon sessions are dedicated to gentle yoga and yin yoga according to the 5 elements. Through conscious awareness of the body, we can realize that we are "just" our body. Anatomically healthy asanas and guided relaxation, invigorating breathing exercises and the activation of the chakras bring strength and joie de vivre.

Through the practice of Yoga Nidra, our nervous system regenerates at the deepest level and we find the alignment that leads us into the depths. We immerse ourselves in the silence in which we can perceive the voice of our innermost wisdom. So that we can feel the power of silence more clearly, we spend individual yoga sessions in silence.

The Mountain Retreat Center is located in the German Chiemgau region, on the border with Austria.

Arrival by car
Take the A8 highway (coming from Munich or Salzburg) and exit at Frasdorf in the direction of Aschau, from there it is a 15-minute drive to Sachrang.

Arrival by train
Take the train or bus to Aschau or Prien im Chiemgau. From there you can either take the bus (few connections) or a cab to Sachrang.

The nearest airports are Munich or Salzburg: continue by train or bus.
