No previous painting experience is necessary, as it is not about learning painting techniques, but about free creative expression.

During the week at Schmidtheim Castle, you will have the opportunity to indulge your creativity. In the beautiful rooms of the castle and in the peaceful castle garden, you can paint and find other forms of creative expression, inspired by the harmonious combination of nature and history.

The von Beissel family looks forward to welcoming their guests and discovering the beauty of the castle and the surrounding nature together with them. Count von Beissel will guide you through the historic estate and Countess von Beissel invites you to experience the magical places on the estate. Your stay will be rounded off with a delicious regional meal prepared with love by the Countess, giving you an authentic taste of the region.

To enhance your stay even further, you have the option of enjoying a relaxing massage. This is the perfect opportunity to rejuvenate body and mind and experience the peace and beauty of the castle to the full.

The lovingly restored 19th century property welcomes you with its special charm. The high rooms, the soft creaking of the wooden floorboards, the view of the extensive castle park - all this creates an atmosphere in which you will immediately feel at peace.

Outside, a fairytale forest stretches out, its paths inviting you to take quiet walks. The gentle rustling of the leaves, the scent of damp moss and fresh earth - not only does the body find relaxation here, but the mind also finds clarity.

Your stay includes 6 days full of enjoyment and relaxation - from Sunday to Friday - including full board.

Your journey begins on Sunday:
- 15:00 - Arrival and first breath of fresh air
- 16:00 - Welcome with coffee, tea and homemade cake
- Then you move into your studio - your personal space to create

Cancellation policy

Full refund up to 45 days before arrival.
If you cancel up to 14 days before arrival, you will receive a 50% refund of the booking price.
After this, the booking is non-refundable.

Should a person from the waiting list be able to move up, the course fees will be waived and refunded.
Cancellations should be made in writing (by e-mail). The date of receipt is decisive.

We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance to cover yourself against unforeseen events.
