NEURODIVERGENT SAFE SPACE: 1-on-1 Retreat in Nature—for ADHD, HSP, and Other Sensitive Individuals

Summary

On the outside, your life probably seems stable. You get a lot done, meet expectations, manage to keep your daily life somewhat organized, and are often exactly the kind of person who seems to have everything under control. And yet, at the same time, there’s this inner experience that’s hard to put into words.

That everything takes more energy than it should, that your system gets overwhelmed quickly, that your mind rarely truly finds peace but is either overactive or internally unclear. And that you keep losing yourself in daily life because so much of your focus is directed outward—on functioning, adapting, and persevering.

Many clients who come to me have experienced this as the norm for years. They have learned to pull themselves together, to compensate, and to somehow function without drawing attention to themselves. Often this is linked to the feeling of not really being seen and of being somehow different—at once “too much” and yet not enough.
For a long time, this is classified as a personal trait, and only later does the understanding emerge that it involves a system that perceives more intensely, processes stimuli differently, and becomes overwhelmed more quickly.

And at some point, the whole thing tips over—not into an acute crisis, but into a deeper form of exhaustion that can no longer be masked. And this is exactly where this retreat comes in.

○ What to Expect at the Retreat
I’ll guide you over several days in a continuous 1:1 process space where your system doesn’t have to constantly mask itself or keep readjusting. The calm, low-stimulus environment in nature helps you gradually emerge from overstimulation and reconnect with yourself. We do not follow a rigid program, but rather work according to your resilience, your stimulus threshold, and your pace.
Through a combination of conversation, body awareness, movement, and quiet phases, a process emerges that does not overwhelm you, but rather brings you back into contact with yourself.
Instead of pushing you further toward adaptation and self-optimization, the focus shifts to something more fundamental: how your life should actually be structured so that it aligns with your way of feeling, perceiving, and processing.
Together, we’ll explore how you process stimuli, when you specifically become overwhelmed, and in which areas of daily life you repeatedly push yourself too hard without even realizing it.

Often, this creates a tangible moment of relief. Not because everything changes immediately, but because for the first time, it becomes clear why things have been so exhausting up to now. That what many have viewed for years as a personal weakness or their own failure actually follows an inner logic and suddenly makes sense.
And with this realization, your view of yourself often changes as well. You begin to trust yourself again, to understand and accept yourself better. You develop a kinder way of treating yourself and a greater appreciation for what you accomplish every day.
You won’t emerge from these days “optimized,” but with greater clarity about what overwhelms you, what is good for you, and what you need—and with a growing sense of permission to be exactly who you are.

○ Who this retreat is for
This retreat is a safe, one-on-one space for neurodivergent people, particularly those with late-diagnosed ADHD, high sensitivity, or other subtle traits who have been masking their true selves for too long and no longer want to work against themselves.
People who realize that this very strategy has brought them to a point where they can no longer—and no longer want to—simply carry on as before.
This retreat is for you if you desire a life that exhausts you less and aligns more closely with who you truly are.
Perhaps you wish to be more firmly anchored in your own experience again and to trust your perceptions more. To develop more clarity about your boundaries and needs, and the courage to take them seriously without feeling guilty. To criticize yourself less and instead treat yourself with more love and understanding.

As a woman who received a late diagnosis, I am familiar with many of these inner conflicts not only from my work as a psychological counselor but also from personal experience. If you are looking for a space free from pressure to conform, where you can reflect, sort through your thoughts, and realign yourself, this retreat may be just the right place for you.

○ If you feel that the time is right
If this retreat resonates with you, I invite you to a personal preliminary consultation.
In this conversation, we’ll explore together whether this one-on-one retreat is a good fit for your current life stage and whether it provides the right setting for your needs.
Since I personally guide each process from start to finish, only a limited number of retreat dates are available per summer season (June–October).

○ My Approach
I’m Sabine, a psychological counselor, and I’ll guide you through these days in a personalized, nervous-system-friendly, and neurodivergent-friendly way.
You’re welcome to take a seat on my “green couch”—both figuratively and literally. Over the course of several days, I’ll hold a clear, safe, and reliable space for you where you don’t have to “function” and where you can find peace. In this space, things may emerge that often have no place in daily life or have long been overlooked. I am here, observing with you and guiding you through whatever arises with a calm, steady presence. During your retreat, I am there exclusively for you, so that the space truly belongs to you and your process and can unfold at your own pace and according to your needs.
Many clients experience this space in the midst of nature as a kind of sanctuary: a place where they can truly let go for a few days because they don’t have to worry about anything, perform, or pull themselves together.

In my work, I combine psychological process guidance, body awareness, and nature-based work with a very human, attuned approach. It is important to me that you feel safe, seen, and able to reconnect with yourself internally, even when there is a lot going on inside you. This is not about optimizing you, but about understanding you as a system that reacts in a comprehensible way to its environment, history, and stress.

The goal of these days is not self-optimization, but clarity, relief, understanding, and a deeper connection to what is truly essential to you.

I consciously work with only a small number of clients per season so that I can give each process the necessary depth and presence.

My foundation is built on training in life and social counseling, couples and sex therapy, bodywork, human energetics, shamanism, as well as nature and wilderness education.

○ The Retreat Location
The retreat location is intentionally simple and low-stimulus: a quiet, nature-oriented retreat without Wi-Fi or television, allowing your nervous system to gradually wind down and become more attuned to subtle sensations.
Nature is not merely a backdrop here, but an active part of the process and a tranquil resonant space that facilitates regulation and helps you gain distance from inner issues.

○ The Schedule
The process follows a clear structure of arrival, deepening, and integration, but is not rigidly planned; rather, it adapts to what arises in the moment.

Day 1 – Arrival
Arrival starting at 3:00 PM and initial settling into the space. Even in the first few hours, a noticeable sense of calm often emerges as daily life, obligations, and the need to be reachable gradually fade into the background.
After your arrival, we’ll get to know each other during a walk and talk and focus on the issue that brought you here. This provides an initial, clear direction for the days ahead. The evening is intentionally kept quiet and concludes with dinner.

Day 2 – Deepening
The second day forms the core of the process. After a quiet breakfast, space opens up for your themes and inner movements. Depending on the process, we work through conversation, in nature, creatively, in movement, or via body-oriented approaches. In doing so, connections become visible that are often obscured in daily life or are not given space.
Between sessions, time is intentionally set aside for integration, retreat, and processing. Many people find this very combination of guidance, nature, and silence to be particularly relieving and clarifying. The evening concludes once again with dinner.

Day 3 – Integration
On the final day, we sort through and bring together what has been experienced. We distill the experiences: What has become important, what is currently shifting, and what specific insights will you take back into your daily life.
Together, we focus on the next steps so that these insights can become a genuine inner direction that continues to have an impact beyond the retreat.
Your process space ends around 10:00 a.m. You return to your daily life with greater inner clarity, peace, and a noticeably stronger connection to yourself.
