NEURODIVERGENT SAFE SPACE: 1-on-1 Retreat in Nature—for those with late-diagnosed ADHD, HSP, and other sensitive systems

Summary

To the outside world, your life probably seems stable, maybe even perfect. You get a lot done, keep your daily life organized, and often function exactly as expected. Hardly anyone can tell that all of this takes up much more of your energy than it should, that you get easily overwhelmed, and that the whirlwind in your head never really settles down. Often, you only realize in the evening how exhausted you really are, even though the day was “actually normal” or you feel like you barely got anything done.

Many clients who come to me have been living with this state for years. They’ve learned to keep their inner chaos to themselves, to adapt, to put on a facade, and to pull themselves together. To feel bad when they can’t manage it. Carrying the feeling of being somehow different and not understood, of somehow always being “too much” and yet never enough.

For a long time, all of this is classified as a personal trait, and only later does the realization emerge that you perceive things more intensely and differently, process stimuli differently, and become overwhelmed more quickly. Usually accompanied by a deep exhaustion that can no longer be masked and the decision that “things can’t go on like this anymore”. And this is exactly where this retreat comes in.

✦ What to expect from the retreat
I’ll guide you over several days in a continuous 1:1 process space where you don’t have to put on a facade. The calm, low-stimulus environment surrounded by nature supports your nervous system in gradually reconnecting with yourself.
We don’t follow a rigid program, but rather work in a way that’s right for you—at your own pace, within your limits, and with whatever is present in the moment.

Through a combination of conversation, body awareness, movement, and moments of stillness, a process emerges that doesn’t push you but instead brings you back into contact with yourself.

Instead of continuing to adapt to the outside world, we’ll explore together what you need so that your life better suits you. We’ll identify those situations in your daily life where you repeatedly push yourself too hard and burn out without even realizing it.
This often brings the first tangible sense of relief. Not because everything can change immediately, but because it becomes clear why things have been so exhausting up until now. And with this understanding, your view of yourself also changes: that it is not a personal weakness, but quite the opposite—you accomplish an incredible amount every day.

You won’t emerge from these days “optimized,” but with a new approach to how you can better adapt your life to YOU. With greater clarity about your boundaries, your needs, and what truly does you good. Without any guilt, but with more compassion, self-acceptance, and a growing permission to be exactly who you are.

✦ Who this retreat is for
This retreat is a safe, one-on-one space designed especially for women with late-diagnosed ADHD, as well as other neurodivergent and highly sensitive individuals who have spent years adapting, masking their true selves, and pushing beyond their limits. This retreat is for you if you long for a life that is less exhausting and more in tune with YOU and your inner experience. And if you finally want to treat yourself with more love and understanding instead of constantly putting yourself last.

✦ When you feel it’s time
If this retreat resonates with you, I invite you to a phone consultation. Together, we’ll explore whether this 1:1 retreat is the right next step for you.

Since I personally guide each process from start to finish, there are only a limited number of retreat dates available per summer season (June–October). If you’d like to secure your preferred date, please feel free to contact me.

✦ My Approach
I’m Sabine, a psychological counselor, and I’ll personally guide you through your process during these days in a way that’s sensitive to your nervous system and neurodiversity.
You are welcome to take a seat on my “green couch”—both figuratively and literally. Over the course of several days, I will hold a clear and safe space for you where you can find peace, even when there is a lot going on inside. I’ll guide you through whatever is coming up at your own pace and according to your needs. It’s never about “optimizing” you, but rather about helping you better understand yourself through your own experiences, gain clarity, and reconnect with yourself in a more authentic way.
Many clients experience this space in the midst of nature as a kind of sanctuary: a place where they are cared for and feel seen, where they can truly let go for a few days because they don’t have to worry about anything or prove themselves.
I deliberately work with only a small number of clients per season so that I can give each process the necessary depth and presence.
In my work, I combine psychological process guidance, body awareness, and nature-based work; my foundation for this is built on training in life and social counseling, couples and sex therapy, bodywork, human energetics, shamanism, as well as nature and wilderness education.

✦ The Retreat Location
The retreat location is intentionally simple and low-stimulus—a quiet, nature-oriented sanctuary without Wi-Fi or television, allowing your nervous system to gradually wind down and become more attuned to subtle sensations. Nature is not merely a backdrop here, but an active part of the process, serving as a calm resonant space that supports regulation and facilitates inner clarity.

✦ The Process
The process follows a clear structure of arrival, deepening, and integration, but is not rigidly planned; rather, it adapts to what arises in the moment.

Day 1 – Arrival
Arrival starting at 3:00 PM and initial settling into the space. After your arrival, we’ll get to know each other during a walk and talk, focusing on the issue that brought you to me. The evening is intentionally kept quiet and concludes with dinner.

Day 2 – Deepening
The second day forms the core of your process. After a quiet breakfast, space is created for your topics. Depending on the process, we work through conversation, in nature, creatively, in movement, or through body-oriented approaches. In between, time is intentionally set aside for integration, retreat, and processing. The evening concludes once again with dinner.

Day 3 – Integration
On the last day, we sort through and integrate the experiences together. We look at what has become important to you during these days and what can accompany you into your everyday life—a clear inner alignment that continues to have an effect beyond the retreat. Your process space ends around 10:00 a.m.
