Dealing with "bodies" is always fascinating: What does a body actually look like? What do I find beautiful? How do I perceive bodies? What role do my own ideas of the body play and how can I make them visible in clay? On this weekend course, I will show you the basics and procedures that will help even non-experts to tackle this challenging subject.
The intensive study of the model and the conscious experience of your own postures will sharpen your understanding of the "body" and figurative sculpture.
It is up to the participants themselves whether they playfully form several small figurines that exist as independent, small works of art or venture into a larger detailed study that can later serve as a vessel, for example - see photo. The resulting works can be fired in the studio after a drying phase.
