Summary

How can we find ourselves in these fast-paced, information-flooded times and find peace? What can we acquire on a "vacation from everyday life" and take it home with us?
In our concept, we combine elements of "gentle experiential education" with the detox concept and the experience of silence. In addition, we emphasize healthy nutrition, sustainability and, above all, simplicity.
On our property in Sweden/Gotland there are 5 wooden huts, which are situated around a pond and right next to the forest.

Good to know:
We do not offer pulse diagnosis.
If you have a specific food allergy, please let us know in writing when you book.
The prices refer to one person/week.
Dogs are allowed on request and with prior notice (please write to us)
For guests from Germany, Switzerland and Austria we offer a shuttle service from and to the airport on request (please inquire in time!).
Morning gymnastics or yoga are possible in the huts, as they offer enough space.
If desired, we offer a simple tapping technique to stimulate the lymph and meridians, which can be done together in the morning before breakfast in the "studio" (duration approx. 10 minutes).
Our offer is always valid for one week from Saturday (arrival from 5 pm) to Saturday (departure until 12 noon) and is designed for a maximum of 5 people/week. (One person per hut, so that our guests can really relax. However, we are happy to discuss exceptions, e.g. for couples).
Parking spaces are available on the premises.
The climate on the island is very mild. In summer up to 30 degrees Celsius.
The nearest beaches are 10 km away from our complex.
Shopping facilities and emergency medical care are within a radius of 2 - 7 km.

Accommodation

The huts:
In addition to the 5 huts, our complex includes a kitchen house and a comfortable sanitary building with 2 separate showers, 2 toilets and 2 washbasins. There is also an outside toilet and the aforementioned "studio".

The individual huts have a bed in the lower area (house no. 3 also has a double bed in the lower area), a small table and a closet, as well as insect screens on the windows.

Each hut also has an additional level, a loft under the roof, which is accessible via a wooden ladder and can also be used as a sleeping area for 2 people.
Each hut has a small terrace with tables and chairs.

We have comforters and bed linen as well as hand and bath towels on site.
If required, a small electric heater can be borrowed.

Another large hut serves as a laundry hut and for storing bicycles. Bicycles are partly available.
(Laundry can be washed in our house if required and hung up to dry in the laundry hut).

There are about 10 hectares of forest around our property, so that the activities take place mainly in the forest. Of course you can also "bathe" extensively in the forest.
The flora and fauna are particularly beautiful in mid-May and June. The Vit Sippa covers the ground with its white flowers and competes with the white flowers of the blackthorn.
It chirps and hums between every bush and shrub. Red deer can also be spotted in the early morning.

Catering

Food and drink:
We cook fresh every day according to the principles of Ayurveda nutrition, as far as we can implement them here, and wholefood cuisine and occasionally help ourselves directly from nature if desired and possible (e.g. nettle spinach).
At 9am we have porridge (cooked oatmeal with fruit and spices, without milk)
At 12 noon we serve a smoothie and a freshly squeezed vegetable juice (both "juices" are easy to digest)
at 5 pm we offer an ayurvedic "stew"/soup/kichari or a "stew"/soup from the wholefood kitchen
once a week we serve fish and once poultry (the Ayurveda kitchen allows this in small quantities)
for vegetarians and vegans we offer dals or lentil roasts instead of meat
we use mainly regional and seasonal vegetables and fruit as far as possible CopyRightC.&B.Jahn2025
we use oat drink instead of milk (however, if you have trouble sleeping, we occasionally make an exception on request and offer "golden milk" in the evening)
we use our home-made ghee (or use cold-pressed olive oil) for cooking, and only rock salt or sea salt without additives
we offer our homemade chutneys with the appropriate meals
we only use our own apple and pear juice
when we use flour, we only use wholemeal spelt flour (three-grain spelt, spelt grain)
in the hut you will find a description of the Ayurveda diet and tips on how you can better implement it during the 7 days with us
various herbs are available at all times (there is a teapot for each hut), so that you can brew your own teas as required or as the mood takes you
our range of herbs consists of over 40 varieties, if you wish, we can select herbs from our range together with you that "suit you at the moment".
we have set up a dining room in our "studio" for communal meals

sequence

From mid-May to the end of September we rent out our beautiful huts and have the following offer for you:
Sweating hut near the huts (cold water after sweating possible, if desired with instructions according to Dr.med.H.Lottermoser, "Healing through water and compresses")
Supervised intuitive archery on a course in the forest
3 "silence stations" in the forest (equipped with mosquito nets. Here on the island, however, there are no mosquito infestations like on the mainland)
Circular path for walking, jogging or as a barefoot path (approx. 1.2 km) through the forest past a ship settlement (Viking grave)
2 wooden benches along the circular path to linger and observe (bring binoculars!)
small "writing workshop": in each hut there is a "diary" ready for biography work or keeping a diary. A small guide for biography work is available
we also offer you a free consultation for individual herbal tea blends

About us:

We are trained as cultural and experiential educators and also have basic therapeutic training according to Rogers.

In our studio you will therefore also find a folder on our exhibition "Ljus & Luktor" ("Light and Luminary") from summer 2023, as well as small impulses on the theme of "Light & Forest" before going for a walk in the forest.

We have 3 years of experience in Ayurveda cooking in a naturopathic practice in Germany, as well as several years working in gardening and landscaping.
The work in gardening and landscaping is also visible on the circular path, as we have cleared a little to create small "wild gardens" without interfering too much with the nature. We also cut back the numerous fruit trees (around 30) on the whole site when necessary. However, we leave most things to nature, including our wild herb bed.

Arrival

There is an airport in Visby (30,000 inhabitants), so you can easily reach the island via Stockholm.
The best way to reach Gotland by ferry is via Oskarshamn or Nynäshamn. From Germany, take the ferries from Luebeck or Rostock to Trelleborg and then via the mainland to Oskarshamn. From there take the ferries from Destination Gotland to Visby. From Visby it is about 50 km to the destination. It is also possible to drive directly to Sweden via Denmark.

From Visby, take highway 142 south towards Burgsvik. After 50 km you will pass Hemse. Continue south on the 142. 7 km south of Hemse you will see our sign Outdoor Ayuvedisk Gotland. Turn left into the yard and park by the P sign. Please ring the bell at the red house on the right. We will be happy to show you the cottage.
