Pilates Bodymotion - body awareness with mindfulness in Chiemgau

Retreat to the Mountain Retreat Center in the Chiemgau mountains. The Retreat Center has 20 rooms with views of the impressive natural landscape of the Alps. It can happen that you are amazed out of nowhere. Again and again. Each of our rooms is a special kind of retreat in its own right. Small, fine, cozy.

The full board at the Mountain Retreat Center is vegetarian and vegan. The most important meal of the day, at least according to the Chinese, is breakfast. That's why we also attach particular importance to a good, healthy breakfast - always including warm porridge. For lunch you enjoy soup, bread and spreads, and in the evening you are treated to a delicious buffet with salad, creative vegetarian-vegan main courses and a dessert. Always freshly cooked and as seasonal as possible. Intolerances can be catered for by prior arrangement.

In this retreat you will learn Pilates according to the principles of the Pilates method: Our focus is on variety of movement, quality of movement and exactness in the execution of the movement. As a result, we recognize the difference this conscious experience makes and what it can change both internally and externally.
This program challenges your concentration and coordination through various breathing techniques and movement sequences - this creates a harmonious connection between body and mind.
Your program leader, Susanna Lyon, is a physiotherapist and her knowledge in this field is incorporated into the program so that physical limitations can be taken into consideration. Newcomers are just as welcome as people with Pilates experience.

About Pilates
Pilates is a mat workout with little or no equipment and can be described as a journey from standing upright through various starting positions on the mat back to standing. Pilates includes flexibility, strengthening and stretching. The goal and result is a stable center from which movements can be performed smoothly and easily.

Program schedule:
7.00-8.00 am: Pilates before breakfast
10.00-11.00 a.m.: Meditation and/or mindfulness exercises

16.00-17.00: Meditation and/or mindfulness exercises
17.00-18.00: Pilates before dinner

The Mountain Retreat Center is located in the German Chiemgau region, on the border with Austria.

Arrival by car
Take the A8 highway (coming from Munich or Salzburg) and exit at Frasdorf in the direction of Aschau, from there it is a 15-minute drive to Sachrang.

Arrival by train
Take the train or bus to Aschau or Prien im Chiemgau. From there you can either take the bus (few connections) or a cab to Sachrang.
Cab fare from Aschau to the Mountain Retreat Center approx. € 35.
