Pottery stays in Brittany. A stay that combines learning ceramics with discovering Brittany. Accompanied by Audrey, a passionate ceramic artist, you will discover the techniques of throwing on the potter's wheel and modeling in an inspiring studio.
At the potter's wheel (manual or electric), modeling with or without glazing, everything is possible, everything is à la carte with the friendly guidance of Audrey, who speaks German! The courses are suitable for beginners and advanced students.
Beginners will be introduced to clay and how to work with it, while advanced students will receive support in realizing their ideas. The courses take place in the pottery workshop, which is just a few minutes' drive away. * Clay is charged by weight (1kg/€2). All tools and other materials are provided and included in the course price.

Accommodation

Your accommodation is located on the ground floor and has its own entrance on the street side, as well as direct access to the garden via a private 7m² terrace. It is 40m² in size and is suitable for one or two people. It is equipped with a carpeted bedroom with a double bed (2x90x200 cm) and an adjoining separate toilet;
a living room with two leather armchairs, a table, satellite TV, and a mini-fridge, as well as a kettle and a selection of tea and coffee, a CD player, and a radio. Free WiFi, coffee machine; a bathroom with a large walk-in Italian-style shower, recessed sink and toilet, as well as a towel dryer and hairdryer; a private wooden terrace (with electric grill and garden furniture) leading to a typical Breton garden of 400 m².

Catering

Accommodation without a kitchen is intended for self-caterers, apart from breakfast, which is included in the price. However, you can also organize your own breakfast (and then deduct €8 per person per night), as you will find bakeries, numerous pubs and restaurants, crêperies, cafés, pizzerias, Turkish snack bars, organic shops, delicatessens, and even a great mini-supermarket on the town hall square in the city center, just a few steps away from your accommodation!
There is a large weekly market on Tuesday mornings and a small but excellent organic market on Saturday mornings. Quintin also has three supermarkets (Super U, Leclerc, and Lidl) within walking distance of your accommodation. You can enjoy breakfast on your private terrace or in your living room.
Apart from bread and pastries, we provide everything you need for a sumptuous Breton breakfast. Your refrigerator will be stocked for your stay. You can pick up fresh bread and French/Breton delicacies according to your preferences at two excellent bakeries—less than 400 meters away on foot! Smoking is permitted on the terrace and in the garden, but not inside the house.

Materials are provided, firing included (except clay, €2/kg). The studio is only a 10-minute drive from your accommodation.

Arrival

The Saint-Brieuc TGV station is a 15-minute drive or 35-minute bus ride away (the Tibus bus stop is 600 meters from the accommodation). The airports of Brest and Rennes are 1.5 hours away by car. Are you coming by train? We can arrange a transfer between the TGV station in Saint-Brieuc and your accommodation (subject to a fee). Alternatively, you can reach Quintin with the Tibus number 5 (the stop is 600 m from the accommodation). We can help you rent a car on site from €6/day. Are you coming by electric car? There are four charging stations in the center, one of which is 80 m from your vacation rental!
