Summary

An extraordinary journey for up to 6 women to Nepal – with space for heart, silence, and genuine encounters. We live and travel together in powerful places, immerse ourselves in the daily life of Buddhist monasteries, and come into direct contact with the local people.
During our trip, we will stay in four different monasteries – some directly in the mountains, some on quiet monastery grounds in the middle of the lively hustle and bustle of the city, and some on the outskirts of smaller towns. Everywhere we go, we will have access to the monastic facilities: communal meals, meditations, guided tours, and exchanges and encounters with the monks who live there.
We are always well organized and travel safely: in Nepal, we have our own guides, a private minibus with driver, and reliable local contacts – including organization and emergency contact. I myself accompany the group around the clock throughout the trip.
The tour is deliberately designed to be varied: silence, retreat, and nature alternate with impressions of everyday life in Nepal and the vibrant life of the cities. Everything remains stress-free and well-coordinated, creating space for inner peace, integration, and processing of the many new impressions. The trip is aimed at women aged 25 to 65 – the more colorful the mix, the more enriching the group.
I am 63 years old and bring a wealth of experience and presence to the tour. Knowledge of English is helpful but not a prerequisite – thanks to our local friends and contacts, we can get by just fine without it. This trip is an invitation to pause, be moved, gain new perspectives, and experience Nepal in a very personal and authentic way.

Accommodation

Not all monasteries offer single rooms or private bathrooms in their guest houses. However, I only choose monasteries that are clean, tidy, and well-run. They often do not meet Western hotel standards, but they offer an authentic and special experience. This trip thrives on openness and adaptability.
We adapt to the local conditions and need to be flexible in our itinerary. Changes to the daily schedule are not unusual in Nepal, as the understanding of time and organization is different from ours.
It is precisely this serenity, the warmth of the people, and the extraordinary encounters that make this trip what it is: a lovingly guided, safe adventure that leaves room for experience, development, and genuine discovery.

Catering

We enjoy the traditional, simple, and very tasty local cuisine. Individual requests can usually be accommodated.

sequence

There is a fixed framework and clear schedule for stays in the monastery complexes. Within this framework, there is plenty of room for personal freedom: each participant decides for themselves whether they want to take part in the monastic program or would rather have time to themselves. Additional excursions to sights or hikes in the nature reserve are possible at any time. These always take place with our own guide, are discussed together, and are voluntary—nothing is mandatory. A domestic flight is included in the tour price, saving us 7–9 hours of difficult road conditions and allowing us to travel in comfort. We spend 4–6 nights in each monastery complex and 2 nights in the nature reserve. We will receive assistance with carrying backpacks or suitcases, so that we are well looked after and unburdened on the road. Before the trip begins, there will be a joint Zoom call to discuss all the details in detail. In addition, each participant will receive a packing list, and I am happy to assist with visa applications.

Arrival

The round-trip flight to Nepal is booked separately (approximate cost: €1,300).
I usually reserve a suitable flight through a travel agency, which each participant then books themselves. Those who prefer to travel individually or choose a cheaper flight can organize the booking themselves. In this case, too, each participant will be picked up by our driver on the day of arrival and taken safely to their accommodation.
