The StrandHotel was built in 1912 and, until the 1980s, stood directly on the Bodden beach—until the protective dike was constructed east of Vitte.
Some rooms on the first and second floors feature a balcony or are located in the hotel’s charming turret, offering sweeping views of the Bodden or the idyllic harbor of Vitte.
The StrandHotel offers simple, no-frills rooms that are lovingly and tastefully furnished.
Each room is equipped with a seating area and a small table, a closet with storage space for your belongings, a TV, and a private bathroom with a shower.
The guesthouse has three single rooms, each with a 1.40-meter-wide bed, and seven double rooms. The double rooms primarily feature double beds with two single mattresses; only one of the double rooms offers the option of sleeping in two single beds.
During yoga retreats, no other groups are staying at the guesthouse.
A breakfast buffet is offered, which is strictly vegetarian.
A variety of fruits, granola and porridge, dips, and various types of bread, as well as high-quality coffee, are part of the delicious daily selection.
In the evening, a tasty, freshly prepared, hot vegetarian dinner is served. This usually consists of a creative salad arrangement and a main dish that varies each evening.
Tea and fruit are available throughout the day.
Booking a hotel room includes the half-board meal plan described above.
Please arrive by 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the latest.
After dinner together, you’ll have the chance to get to know the group in a relaxed atmosphere before we wind down the day with a peaceful evening meditation.
From Thursday through Saturday, each day begins with an invigorating yoga practice on the beach, accompanied by the sound of the Baltic Sea and the fresh morning air. Afterward, we’ll enjoy breakfast together. Refreshed, we’ll then move on to another 90-minute yoga session that offers space for deepening our practice and cultivating mindfulness. Afterward, there will be time for a relaxing walk on the beach or some individual free time. In the afternoon, a gentle restorative yoga session awaits you, guiding your body and mind into relaxation. At 6:30 p.m., we’ll gather again for dinner together before rounding out the day at 8:00 p.m. with a meditative session.
On Sunday, we’ll start the day together one last time with morning yoga. After breakfast, we’ll have a final yoga practice to bring the retreat to a harmonious close.
