Retreat to the Mountain Retreat Center in the Chiemgau mountains. The Retreat Center has 20 rooms with views of the impressive natural landscape of the Alps. It's easy to be amazed by the beauty of the surroundings. Again and again. Each of our rooms is a special kind of retreat. Small, refined, cozy. The Retreat Center has double rooms (most with separate beds) and single rooms – some with their own bathroom and toilet, some with shared bathroom and toilet facilities, but all with a sink in the room. Unlike in a hotel, our guests wear slippers, make sure they feel comfortable in their rooms—rooms are cleaned on arrival and departure—and clear away their own dishes. To ensure that the Retreat Center is a place of relaxation not only for you but also for the environment, we attach great importance to sustainability and use products from the region. The Mountain Retreat Center is a member of VeggieHotels.
All meals at the Mountain Retreat Center are vegetarian-vegan. The most important meal of the day, at least according to the Chinese, is breakfast. That's why we place particular emphasis on a good, healthy breakfast – always including warm porridge. For lunch, you can enjoy soup, bread, and spreads, and in the evening, you will be treated to a delicious buffet with salad, creative vegetarian-vegan main courses, and dessert. Always fresh and cooked with seasonal ingredients whenever possible. Food intolerances can be accommodated if notified in advance.
During these sound days, you will learn how targeted sound work supports deep relaxation, releases tension, and activates inner resources. Sound journeys, guided relaxation, and mindful perception exercises create a protected space to let go of everyday life and arrive completely at yourself. The gentle tones of Tibetan singing bowls and koshis accompany you on a journey inward—carried by silence, nature, and mindfulness. These days are an invitation to take time for yourself, to find peace, and to recharge your batteries. Sounds not only have a relaxing effect, but also promote a more refined body awareness, support emotional release, and can strengthen lasting inner balance. Contents & focus The program combines various elements of sound work into a holistic experience: - Evening sound meditations with Tibetan singing bowls and koshis - Soothing sound baths, guided imagery, and mindfulness exercises - Self-awareness with singing bowls and resonance exercises - Times of reflection, silence, and conscious "me time" We encounter the sounds in different ways—lying down, sitting, or moving gently, on the mat or in the room. These days invite you to realign your body, mind, and soul and allow a deep inner harmony to emerge. The effect of the sounds will continue to resonate long after the retreat is over. In addition, there is the option of attending yoga classes from the Mountain Retreat Center's open program (for a fee).
