Summary

The encounter with STONE - travertine or tuff - can raise existential questions and makes them directly tangible and visible to us. I would like to tease out and accompany this process - both by teaching artistic approaches and by introducing mindfulness in dealing with oneself and others.

A space is created in which a deeper immersion in artistic processes is made possible.

The stone challenges you and your full attention, giving you space and time to develop your own ideas and shape them, to deal with coincidences, to explore your own attitude towards yourself and the material, to understand resistance as a challenge, to learn how to deal with supposed "mistakes" and to gain experience, such as: the harder the material, the more force you have to take out of your own actions........

These exciting experiences and experiments while working on your own sculpture are encouraged by the discussions in the group and accompanied by the sculptor Birgit Cauer in the form of instructions, dialogs and suggestions.
The pleasant seminar house near Lake Trasimeno in Umbria provides the perfect setting.

The workshops are aimed at anyone interested - with or without previous experience. Art therapists and teachers can gain this special self-experience with this artistic approach and use it in their teaching.
