The schedule of The Shift is intentionally designed around the natural rhythm of the African bush rather than rigid timetables. Days are structured enough to feel held and guided, yet spacious enough to allow rest, reflection, and spontaneity.
Most mornings begin early, in tune with the land. Some days start with a sunrise safari drive, when the wilderness is at its most alive. Other mornings begin quietly with tea, journaling, or gentle movement before gathering for yoga, meditation, and breathwork. Mornings are unhurried, grounding, and focused on presence.
After practice, a nourishing breakfast is shared at the lodge, followed by slower-paced late mornings. This time is dedicated to guided mindset sessions, reflection, journaling, or creative experiences, balanced with free time to rest by the pool, enjoy the sauna, or simply sit in stillness.
Lunch is enjoyed together, after which the afternoons remain intentionally spacious. This is time for integration — naps, quiet conversations, nature walks, or optional personal reflection. On one of the days, the group ventures out for the Panorama Route excursion, offering a change of scenery and a powerful shift in perspective.
As the day cools, the energy begins to turn outward again. On select afternoons, guests head out for sunset safari drives, followed by a return to the lodge as darkness settles over the bush.
Evenings are slow and grounding. Gentle evening practices, shared dinners, and guided reflections create a sense of closure to the day. Some nights invite conversation and connection, while others are intentionally quiet — allowing rest to take priority.
The schedule balances movement and stillness, structure and freedom. You are encouraged to participate fully, while also honouring your own energy and needs. Nothing is forced, rushed, or overfilled.
This rhythm is designed to support one thing above all else:
clarity, self-trust, and a deep sense of coming home to yourself.
