Full concentration on "drawing and painting" – it's wonderful how you can forget the world and become completely absorbed in your hobby. Whether you are a beginner or advanced, everyone is wonderfully introduced, guided, and instructed by Claudia Mann. We are already looking forward to the exhibition of all the pictures – it's wonderful to see the progress and results! Painting takes place in the "Gretlgwölb" in the castle, but also outdoors – there are plenty of motifs worth painting around Pichl Castle. Or you can bring photographs of landscapes as templates – we are open to everything. We work from our own sketches and photographs. Claudia Mann: The painter Claudia Mann studied painting and art history in Munich and Florence. She lived in Essen for around 20 years, and even then she combined her painting with projects involving musicians, dancers, and actors from the local Aalto Theater. She returned to Bavaria several years ago and now lives in Riederau.
The pictures in her Moving Man series bring to mind comparisons with pop art artist Keith Haring. Even though the painting technique is completely different, the impression is the same: human figures in motion, hopping, jumping, dancing, and radiating an intense joie de vivre.

Accommodation

The Pichlschloss is located in a sunny and idyllic setting at 876 meters above sea level in the Styrian nature park Zirbitzkogel-Grebenzen. For three generations, we have been offering our guests vacations in lively tranquility and serenity, close to nature and relaxing. An ideal place, surrounded by greenery, directly on the hiking trail network and only a 15-minute walk from the village.
Fantastic cuisine with many regional, organic, and seasonal foods. Forest bathing right on your doorstep. Pichlschloss is located in the Styrian district of Murau, one of the most densely wooded areas in Austria.

Catering

At Pichlschloss, we cook and live according to the slow food philosophy. We produce our own jam, delicacies in jars, cheese, sausages, and spreads. Beef, pork, and fish come from farms surrounding Pichlschloss as far as possible. The eggs for breakfast are laid by our chickens. Most of the salad and herbs come from our own garden.
Every week, you have the opportunity to shop at the Pichlschloss factory.

Tuesday: Arrival and welcome cocktail at Gretlgwölb at 3 p.m. – then we'll get started right away! Wednesday: Morning: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., lunch break, from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. we'll be drawing and painting again
Thursday: Morning: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., lunch break, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. everyone meets at Gretlgwölb
Friday: Morning: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., lunch break, and the afternoon is free (but the Gretlgwölb is open for those who want to paint) Saturday: Morning: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
At 8:00 p.m., the vernissage takes place at the Gretlgwölb, to which all guests are cordially invited. Sunday: breakfast together and departure Important - everyone can paint as much as they want, but no one has to attend all meetings. The week is over again and you will surely return home proudly with beautiful pictures.

Cancellation policy

If you cancel up to 7 days before arrival, you will receive a 90% refund of the booking price.
After this, the booking is non-refundable.

We will settle the bill at the end of your stay, either in cash or by card. The seminar fee is to be paid on site to the course instructor. No deposit is required by the hotel.
