On the very first day, the real work begins with the selection of the logs: cedar wood from Ticino, light, fine-grained and weather-resistant and therefore particularly suitable for the art of sculpting. You stand in front of a log and try to imagine the figure inside. Joy, courage and boldness are in the air and the desire to get started soon can hardly be contained - the scent of cedar immediately fills the atmosphere.
Wood is a medium that can be worked with a wide variety of techniques. The successful last courses clearly showed that the chainsaw has become the absolute favorite tool. The very latest tools are relatively easy to handle and user-friendly. The chainsaw can be used to create figurative pieces in a variety of ways, whether abstract or detailed, small or oversized. Working with chainsaws is also great fun. Work is only carried out with protective clothing and equipment that meets the latest safety standards. Participants are free to choose the subject of their own work and receive individual creative and technical support.
