Summary

Under the guidance of the sculptor, we will create figurative or abstract sculptures. We will first model our ideas and designs in clay and then execute them in wood. The workshop is equally suitable for beginners and advanced students. We will work with chisels, mallets and other tools.
Born in Hamburg, he has been working as a wood and bronze sculptor since 2002 and exhibits his work internationally. He prefers to use local wood from northern Germany. In his workshops, the aim is to work his way from a piece of wood to his own sculpture, even if this means changing his perspective.

The necessary tools and various types of wood are available, please bring work clothes and sturdy shoes.

There is an additional charge of €30 per person for materials.

For on-site accommodation, we offer various bedrooms with double beds. There is one shared bathroom with bath and shower per floor.
An extension of the stay is possible by arrangement.

Catering

We offer full vegetarian catering for the workshops. This consists of a breakfast buffet (only for overnight stays), hot lunch, cake and fruit as a snack, rounded off by a hot evening meal with dessert. We also serve bread, salad, a cheese platter and a selection of wines. All drinks are included.
We are happy to cater for intolerances and special diets.
We mainly use seasonal and certified organic products.

Multi-day workshop Friday to Sunday

Arrival on 13.06.25 from 09:00, overnight stay possible.

We start on the first day at 10:00 a.m. and are introduced to the topic by the artist. The workshop will then continue until Monday afternoon, interrupted only by good conversation and delicious food.

All necessary tools are available, the material will be brought by the artist.

You can reach the WERKGUT as follows:
Arrival by car: Via A7 exit Neumünster Mitte then on B430 to Aukrug and via Hennstedt to Meezen/ A23 exit Scheenefeldt via b430 to Hohenwestedt and via Grauel to Meezen.
Parking spaces are available, as well as charging facilities for electric cars.
Parking for other vehicles is possible.
Arrival by public transport: If you arrive by train, you can be picked up from Wrist or Hohenwestedt station.
Bus connection Hohenwstedt-Meezen-Wrist with bus route 6191.

Cancellation policy

Full refund up to 60 days before arrival.
After this, the booking is non-refundable.

It is a pity if a workshop place remains free although others would have liked to book. We therefore ask you to inform us in good time - preferably in writing - if you are unable to attend the workshop you have booked.

The following costs will be incurred in the event of a cancellation:

Up to 60 days before the workshop date there is no cancellation fee.
Up to 20 days before the start of the workshop, 50% of the total booking amount will be charged. Thereafter, the full amount will be charged in the event of cancellation.
