Yin Yoga is like a quiet counterpoint to our often noisy everyday lives. Especially in summer, when everything outside is in motion, it can be beneficial to consciously pause for a moment. In the calm sessions with Maybritt Ehleiter, you give yourself exactly that: space for silence, for conscious breathing, and for passive stretching that works deep into the tissue.
What is so special about Yin Yoga? Yin Yoga is a quiet practice full of depth. You remain in sitting or lying positions for several minutes—without muscle tension, carried entirely by your breath and supported by cushions and props. This allows you to reach not only your muscles, but above all the fine fascial structures, connective tissue, and energy channels of the body.
Yin Yoga has a profound effect: it calms the nervous system, opens up inner spaces, and leads to a soothing stillness of mind. As a counterbalance to the often fast-paced, performance-oriented everyday life (Yang), this meditative practice provides new grounding, mindfulness, and inner balance.
The roots of this practice lie in Hatha Yoga, traditional Chinese medicine, and modern anatomical knowledge. The focus is not on perfect form, but on personal feeling—every body is unique, every posture individual. The sessions are characterized by slowness, mindfulness, and an attitude of non-doing. Sounds and scents accompany the practice and enhance its effect. The gentle Yin Yoga method works on the meridians by stretching the fascia, thus promoting energy flow – ideal for stress regulation and deep regeneration. This retreat is also ideal for yoga beginners: with the support of bolsters, cushions, and yoga blocks, the positions are individually adapted – without any pressure or performance requirements.
Two walks in the surrounding countryside round off the retreat and invite you to discover the summer landscape of the Chiemgau region mindfully. Program scope: Two two-hour sessions per day, one two-hour session on the day of arrival and one on the day of departure.
