Summary

This retreat is primarily aimed at beginners. Have you heard of shamanism and want to dive into this fascinating world? Do you enjoy yoga but want to push yourself further? Or would you like to try yoga and combine it with shamanism? Then you’ve come to the right place!

Yoga and Celtic shamanism—do they go together?

For us, a resounding YES!

A shaman is a wise woman, a seer, and a mediator. Through rituals and guided meditations, she reaches our deepest self and can help you rediscover yourself.
Yoga originated in India but shares the same goal. Here, physical activity is added to the mix. In yoga, we unite body, mind, and soul.

At our yoga retreat, you’ll be guided through the weekend by two powerful women and discover your own inner strength. Yoga teacher Theresa will bring your body into balance through grounding and strengthening asanas and prepare you for your shamanic journey with breathing exercises. This journey will be led and guided by shaman Katrin. Discover your personal power animal and learn its meaning. A short guide at the end will serve as a companion for you to take home.

Included are:
* 4 yoga sessions featuring Hatha and Yin Yoga
* Winter walk with an introduction to shamanism
* Celtic shamanism and the search for your power animal
* 2 shamanic journeys at the end of the evening yoga sessions
* Extensive breakfast buffet
* 3-course evening menu, featuring products from our own farm (including vegetarian and vegan options)
* Wellness area with steam room, Finnish sauna, and whirlpool offering views of the majestic Gosaukamm

Additional services available for a fee:
* Various massages (partial or full-body massage, Lomi Lomi massages, herbal compresses, etc.)
* And much more!

Arrival

Traveling by Car

No matter which direction you’re coming from, getting to St. Martin am Tennengebirge in the Salzburg region is easy, comfortable, and hassle-free.

Traveling via the A8 – the journey is the destination

If you’re traveling to Salzburg from Germany, you’ll be captivated by the magnificent mountain scenery in the Alpine foothills just past Munich. The A8 takes you past Bavaria’s largest lake, Lake Chiemsee. Once you’ve passed it, the view of the Salzburg mountains soon opens up before you. From the A8, continue directly onto the A10, the Tauern Autobahn. Please note that a vignette is required in Austria – you can purchase this toll sticker at German gas stations just before the Austrian border. Continue on the A10 to the Hüttau exit. Take this exit to leave the Tauern Autobahn. Follow the state highway toward Lammertal/St. Martin/Lungötz and turn left 50 meters after the Lungötz town sign. Follow the road into the Lammertal valley, where your Berghotel Lämmerhof is located.

Traveling to the Tennengebirge in Salzburg via the A1

If you are traveling to the Lammertal from the east, follow the A1 for about 280 kilometers toward Linz/St. Pölten until the A10/E55 exit. Continue toward Graz/Villach/Salzburg South. The impressive mountain landscape of the Salzburg region welcomes you and will accompany you from here on your way to the Lammertal. Follow the A10 to the Hüttau exit and leave the Tauern Autobahn here. Take the state highway toward Lammertal/St. Martin/Lungötz and turn off 50 meters past the Lungötz town sign. Follow the road into the Lammertal valley, where your Berghotel Lämmerhof is located.

Very nice and family-oriented hotel! Newly renovated rooms, very clean, and good food. The yoga teacher and shaman addressed the needs and different levels of experience of the participants. The yoga room was in the basement and was unfortunately a bit cramped due to exercise equipment and a solarium. More introduction to shamanism would have been great, but the duration was probably too short for that. The visit took place in winter. Summer and the possibility of having sessions on the lawn with a view of the mountains would probably be more beneficial for relaxation. However, the wellness area was almost empty in the off-season, and there were enough treatments available.

A relaxed, beautiful weekend. The combination of yoga with shamanism was well coordinated. Dreamlike view of the surrounding mountain landscape. Small but nice wellness area with various massage, bath, and facial treatment options. I will definitely go back.
