Yoga of the elements
Yoga of the elements connects us with our own nature, creates access to elemental forces and can create new perspectives.
In nature, the elements of earth, water, fire and air come together to form a magnificent whole. We also carry all these elements within us. Getting involved with nature at places of power in the Algarve, such as cliffs, beaches or mountain peaks, allows us to experience the elements and their character directly. Through the practice of yoga, breathing exercises and meditation, we have the opportunity to strengthen individual aspects of ourselves - connect with the grounding power of the ancient cork oaks, enjoy the cleansing freshness of pranayama by the sea; feel how the sun enlivens your inner fire in the asanas; let the song of the water carry you into meditation!
The program
Every day we dedicate ourselves to a different element on all levels. Its character determines our daily program, the location and our practice to fully immerse ourselves in the experience of nature.
Our Re-connect yoga practice takes us to a different fascinating place in the middle of nature every morning, which represents the respective element and brings it to life. As we always practise in small groups, we respond to each individual according to their individual abilities. And because we want to consciously experience nature in all its facets, we can feel very close to the stars on a stargazing evening, celebrate joie de vivre in a joint cooking workshop and enjoy an evening of long conversations under old trees.
In addition to intensive yoga practice and excursions, there will of course also be time to enjoy the beach, visit local cafés or use the pool.
Yoga teacher
Stefanie Drebing uses the Re-connect philosophy to merge her deep connection to nature with yoga on all levels, creating a simple, pragmatic and playful way to access lost resources and new perspectives.
Whether as a horseback riding guide in the mountains, a lecturer in evolutionary medicine or a passionate yoga teacher - Stefanie Drebing combines her love of nature with in-depth knowledge and many years of experience. The yoga practice: A healthy mix of traditional, integral Hatha yoga paired with dynamic elements of other styles form the basis of all yoganature classes. Plenty of space for individual experience is essential - everything can, nothing must.
