Every day at lunch and dinner, you can enjoy hearty meals—a vegan whole-food buffet. If you also like to have breakfast, fruit is available at the buffet starting at 8 a.m., as a snack after meditation, or for a quick bite between meals. Tea and water are available throughout the day.

We use only fresh, organic ingredients in our dishes. We place great importance on seasonal, sustainable products and support local farmers and partners.

Fresh salads, cucumbers, carrots, beets, and two different dressings are the main components of our buffet. For those who prefer hot food, steamed vegetable platters featuring broccoli, carrots, sweet potatoes, and fennel, as well as curries, dal, and soups, offer a great alternative to the raw vegetable bar. In addition, there is always a selection of high-quality oils, grains, and seeds. Bread or gluten-free alternatives, along with homemade vegan spreads, are available at brunch.

All our dishes are homemade and 100% organic. If you have questions regarding allergens, there is a list with information for people with allergies at the buffet. The dishes are then labeled according to the list.

- 1–2 yoga classes daily (100 minutes each)
Friday & Sunday afternoons starting at 4:30 p.m.: a special yoga class to help you settle in and unwind (including meditation, an introduction, and a welcome)
- Meditation twice daily
with or without guidance, as you prefer, mantra chanting, short talk, or reading
- 1–2 talks every day
thorough introduction to all aspects of holistic yoga, meditation, healthy nutrition, and healthy lifestyle, or massage workshops
- Afternoon walks, excursions, and hikes in beautiful natural surroundings, in consultation with the group
- Twice-daily abundant vegan buffet featuring fresh, delicious salads, fruit, granola, bread, jams, and hot dishes—all guaranteed organic
- Free supplementary activities
such as Nordic walking, guided meditative walks, daily fire ceremonies, mantra recitation, sound massage, and much more

Upon request, you can book additional massages or consultations, such as a yoga therapy consultation, during which our therapists can advise you on specific ailments and work with you to develop a personalized exercise plan, or an Ayurveda consultation with valuable tips for a diet and lifestyle tailored to your constitution. And of course, you can pamper yourself with Ayurvedic and other massages and let your mind wander in the Ayurvedic relaxation oasis—pure relaxation!

Rooms are available from 3:00 PM. At 4:30 PM (Fri./Sun., other days: 4:15 PM) there is a yoga class, and at 6:00 PM dinner (both free of charge or included). Weekend seminars end on Sunday at approximately 2:30/3:00 p.m.; longer seminars end on the last day after brunch at approximately 12:00 p.m.

Arrival

The Yoga Vidya retreat center is idyllically situated on the outskirts of the historic spa town of Bad Meinberg. The location is both quiet and central, making it easily accessible by train or car. Larger cities in the vicinity include Paderborn (27 km away), Bielefeld (35 km away), and Hanover (100 km away).

If traveling by train, we recommend getting off at the Horn-Bad Meinberg station, which is approximately 5 km from the Yoga Vidya retreat center. Yoga Vidya Bad Meinberg offers a free shuttle service to the retreat center, picking you up from the Horn-Bad Meinberg station between 8:30 a.m. and 7:15 p.m.

For me it was a wonderful program to start a new year relaxed and strengthened! There were very varied yoga classes and meditations on offer, wonderful musical accompaniment too and the food was healthy, varied and delicious...so everything was great for me! I enjoyed it very much!

I spent a retreat week at the Yoga Vidya center at the end of February. The range of yoga, meditation and information courses and the leisure program were simply sensational. There was something for everyone! As far as accommodation and meals are concerned, however, you have to go back to the level of a youth hostel and not have high expectations. But in view of the fantastic program, clearly four stars!
