What’s the meal plan like?
In the morning, we have a traditional Danish breakfast together, featuring a variety of pastries,
cereals, and fruit—very similar to a German breakfast, but with some typical Danish
specialties.
Throughout the day, there’s fruit, vegetables, and small snacks. But you’re always welcome to help yourself to
the bread from breakfast as well.
Water and coffee are available to you all day long.
In the evening, you can prepare your own meals. The house’s kitchen is happy to be at
your disposal for this. Maybe you’d like to cook together?
Can allergies or dietary restrictions be accommodated?
Generally, yes. I’m happy to try to accommodate your dietary needs,
but I reserve the right to decide on a case-by-case basis. Please feel free to
discuss this with me before booking.
Vegetarian or vegan meals are definitely possible—but please be sure to
let me know before your arrival!
Thursday | Arrival & Getting in the Mood
In the afternoon, our time together begins with a relaxed arrival and some time to settle in. Over coffee, tea, and our first creative session, we’ll slowly leave our daily routines behind and get in the mood for the days ahead. The evening is yours to enjoy as you wish—whether spending time together or deliberately seeking solitude and quiet.
Friday | Dive In & Create
After a relaxed start to the day, we’ll dive into various materials and creative techniques together. There’s plenty of room to experiment, discover, and create freely—without pressure to perform and at your own pace. The evening can be spent individually or together.
Saturday | Coast, Inspiration & Group Wrap-Up
On Saturday, we’ll take a group excursion to the Danish coast. Surrounded by the sea, open spaces, and fresh air, we’ll take time to consciously take in our surroundings and work creatively right there on the spot—using colors, sketches, and the sea as inspiration. Afterward, we’ll let those impressions continue to resonate back at our lodging. In the evening, we’ll all come together once more and bring our retreat to a close in a cozy atmosphere.
Sunday | Recap & Farewell
To wrap things up, we’ll take time to look back on the past few days together, share thoughts and impressions, and consciously bring our retreat to a close. Afterward, everyone departs individually—with new inspiration, beautiful memories, and hopefully the feeling of having gotten a little closer to themselves.
The program is subject to change depending on the weather, group dynamics, and creative inspiration on site.
All creative retreats take place in the southeastern part of Denmark. Here, it’s often best
to travel by car or long-distance bus. Traveling by train is generally only recommended
from Copenhagen—not directly from Germany, since there is no direct
train connection.
If you’re interested in connecting with other participants in advance to arrange a carpool,
please let me know. However, I will never share your contact information with other
participants without your consent!
****Do I have to be creative or good at drawing?
In short: No.
I firmly believe that anyone can be creative. As long as you’re eager to experiment, you’ve come to the right place.
**** What materials are used?
That’s largely up to you. I provide a wide variety of materials so you can really let your creativity run wild.
These include: acrylic paints, watercolors, drawing pencils, spray paints, fabrics, natural materials, canvases, drawing and painting papers, and much more.
****Do I need to bring my own materials?
No, you don’t—I’ll provide everything you need. But if you’d like to bring something that makes you feel especially comfortable, feel free to do so.
****Can I take my artwork home with me?
Of course you can take your artwork home. If there’s something you don’t want to take, it’ll simply go into my art supply collection and might inspire someone else.
****What should I bring?
We keep things comfortable and cozy here. Be sure to bring comfortable clothing, weather-appropriate gear, and a warm sweater. If the weather permits, feel free to plan a trip to the beach.
If you’d like to bring your own painting smock, please do—otherwise, I’ll have plenty of smocks available to borrow.
