Morning: 2.5 hours daily of Egyptian dance, bodywork, and moving meditation in a group setting. One day a week is set aside for excursions or relaxation.
Egyptian dance is one of the origins of the better-known belly dance—a multifaceted dance form that combines strength and grounding with softness and expression. The focus is not on perfection, but on connecting with the music and your own authentic expression. No prior experience is necessary; you are welcome just as you are, and please bring a dose of curiosity :-)
As a dance and expressive therapist, I’m interested in the connections between body and mind. For me, dance is a path to greater serenity, joy of life, and courage. In Egyptian dance, we make the music visible—beyond counting steps and strict choreography.
In my classes, there is plenty of laughter, discussion, and reflection. We get closer to our bodies and, through that, to ourselves. Afternoon: Free time to spend as you wish—swimming at the sandy beach (100 m from the hotel), walks, excursions to Ragusa Ibla, Modica, or Scicli, or simply dolce far niente.
Evening program: Saturday: Group opening dinner by the sea During the week: A group dance evening Friday: Group closing evening The remaining evenings are entirely yours—you can enjoy them on your own or spend them with the group, just as you like. Participation in the evening program is always voluntary. Dinners are not included in the price.
