Summary

This new braiding technique with willow is characterized by a long spiral with tucking and twisting, similar to thick ropes. The shape often results from the resulting tensions and makes the products unique. Klaus Titze will introduce us to the basics of the special twisting technique he has developed. Together we will create elegant baskets and objects.

The basket maker Klaus Titze has lived and worked on the Danish island of Møn for 27 years and is a member of the Danish Association of Craftsmen and Designers.

Accommodation

For on-site accommodation, we offer various bedrooms with double beds. Plus large bathrooms with bath and shower for three rooms.

An extension of the stay is possible by arrangement.

Catering

Two days catering incl. lunch, snack, dinner and drinks.

We offer full vegetarian catering for the workshops. This consists of a breakfast buffet (only for overnight stays), hot lunch, cake and fruit as a snack, rounded off by a hot dinner with dessert. We also serve bread, salad, a cheese platter and a selection of wines. All drinks are included.
We are happy to cater for intolerances and special diets.
We mainly use seasonal and certified organic products.

Arrival on Friday from 15:00

We start on Friday at 16:00 with an introduction to the theme by the artist. On Saturday we will start at 10:00 a.m. and will only be interrupted by delicious food and nice conversations until Sunday afternoon around 15:30.

You can reach the WERKGUT as follows:
Arrival by car: Via A7 exit Neumünster Mitte then on B430 to Aukrug and via Hennstedt to Meezen/ A23 exit Scheenefeldt via b430 to Hohenwestedt and via Grauel to Meezen.
Parking spaces are available, as well as charging facilities for electric cars.
Parking for other vehicles is possible.
Arrival by public transport: If you arrive by train, you can be picked up from Wrist or Hohenwestedt station.
Bus connection Hohenwstedt-Meezen-Wrist with bus route 6191.

It was an all-around nice and successful workshop. I felt very well taken care of nice ambience, good food and great people with many facets. The workshop leader could explain everything well had a lot of patience and has helped each individual to a beautiful result. Thank you again!
