Retreat to the Mountain Retreat Center in the Chiemgau mountains. The Retreat Center has 20 rooms with views of the impressive natural landscape of the Alps. It can happen that you are amazed out of nowhere. Again and again. Each of our rooms is a special kind of retreat in its own right. Small, fine, cozy.
The full board at the Mountain Retreat Center is vegetarian and vegan. The most important meal of the day, at least according to the Chinese, is breakfast. That's why we also attach particular importance to a good, healthy breakfast - always including warm porridge. For lunch you enjoy soup, bread and spreads, and in the evening you are treated to a delicious buffet with salad, creative vegetarian-vegan main courses and a dessert. Always freshly cooked and as seasonal as possible. Intolerances can be catered for by prior arrangement.
The view of the mountains, framed by the Zahmer Kaiser, is fascinating. In this powerful landscape around the Mountain Retreat Center, you will learn all about relaxation and practice various tools to better deal with stressful situations at work or in your private life. Your own resilience, your psychological resistance, is strengthened and lightness spreads. During the time-out retreat, you will learn to relax deeply and find a good way of dealing with stressful situations. Regularly recharging your energy reserves is an important prerequisite for quality of life and joie de vivre.
Through various physical and yoga exercises, breathing awareness and breath control, you will learn to feel yourself and your needs - a basic prerequisite for being aware of a state of stress in the first place. Methods include meditative exercises and conscious body awareness such as the body scan.
Breathing plays a particularly important role in dealing with stress in a positive, conscious way - daily breathing walks in beautiful natural surroundings will clear your lungs and free your thoughts. You will practise various breathing techniques so that you can use them as an emergency pharmacy in difficult situations. Attention is also paid to examining your own thought patterns during your time out in the mountains.
The Mountain Retreat Center is located in the German Chiemgau region, on the border with Austria.
Arrival by car: Take the A8 highway (coming from Munich or Salzburg) and exit at Frasdorf, direction Aschau, from there it is a 15-minute drive to Sachrang.
Arrival by train: Take the train or bus to Aschau or Prien im Chiemgau. From there you can either take the bus (few connections) or a cab to Sachrang. Cab costs from Aschau to the Mountain Retreat Center approx. € 35. Another convenient and inexpensive way to get from Aschau train station to Sachrang - Rosi, an on-demand service from the Rosenheim region. The Mountain Retreat Center now has its own bus stop!
