Meditative self-reflection in nature

You may be familiar with the expressions “frozen with fear” or “it shook me to the core”; these colloquial phrases describe something that is now well understood in somatic psychology: stressful or overwhelming experiences leave not only emotional but also physical traces.
As a result, many people no longer feel fully in touch with themselves. And it doesn’t necessarily take a single traumatic event—chronic overload and constant stress can also cause us to gradually lose touch with our bodies.
Many of my clients describe themselves as highly capable, yet at the same time inwardly exhausted, tense, or as if cut off from their own bodies and inner experiences.
The body is then experienced more as a functional tool than as a place to inhabit; physical signals are perceived late or only vaguely. Limits often only become apparent once they have long since been crossed.
Often this is not a sudden state, but a gradual process over many years: functioning becomes more important than feeling, adaptation more important than one’s own needs, and pushing things away or enduring them becomes the normal reaction.
But eventually the moment comes when it becomes clear: things cannot go on like this.
The desire grows to no longer experience one’s own body merely as something that “has to function,” but as a place that can once again be felt, be alive, and feel like a safe home.
This is exactly where this retreat comes in.
✦ What you can look forward to with me
Nestled in the calming power of nature, amidst forests, mountains, and water, a safe space emerges where you can step away from everyday life and the constant need to “function” for a few days.
I’ll guide you through this in a one-on-one setting, so you can focus on your process in peace.
Trauma-sensitive yoga serves as the guiding thread. Unlike in traditional yoga classes, however, the focus here is not on achieving perfect poses or optimization, but on gradually reconnecting with your body and rebuilding a safe connection with yourself.
The exercises are individually tailored to you, your pace, and your physical capabilities; the primary focus is on connecting with yourself and regaining trust in your inner experience.
Your process is complemented by creative experiences, forest bathing with all your senses, and gentle human-energetic impulses. Nature serves not merely as a backdrop, but as a tranquil space for experience that supports the nervous system in slowly returning from tension and overload to a state of greater regulation.
These days, many people are experiencing for the first time in a long while what it feels like not to have to constantly be “on.”
Over time, you will notice that your growing body awareness makes your body a more familiar place again. Signals become more clearly perceptible, boundaries and needs are recognized earlier, and your overall approach to yourself becomes calmer and kinder.
You won’t leave this retreat with a perfect morning routine, but with something much more concrete: exercises suitable for everyday life. Because TSY is easy to learn, even with physical limitations, and can be easily practiced anywhere, so you can continue on your own even after the retreat.
✦ If you feel that this retreat could be a turning point for you
If you wish to reconnect with yourself and feel more secure in your body again, please feel free to write to me.
We’ll then speak on the phone and see together if my retreat is the right next step for you.
I only guide a small number of women and men per season (June through October), because deep guidance requires time, presence, and attention.

✦ How I Work
My name is Sabine, and I guide you through several days of physical and nature-based experiences in a clear, structured one-on-one setting that is sensitive to your nervous system and neurodiversity.
Unlike in individual sessions, this creates a sustained space where your system doesn’t have to constantly react or function anew, but is allowed to slowly find peace. The focus is on body awareness, mindful movement, breath, forest bathing, and targeted sensory reduction. Nature is not merely a backdrop here, but an active part of the process and a tranquil space of resonance.
My foundation is built on training in life and social counseling, couples and sex therapy, bodywork (including TSY), human energetics, shamanism, and nature and wilderness education.
✦ The Location
The retreat location is intentionally simple and low-stimulus: a quiet, nature-oriented retreat without Wi-Fi or TV, allowing your nervous system to wind down and become more attuned to subtle sensations.
Throughout the entire retreat, you will be in an exclusive one-on-one setting. The space belongs to you and your process, which can unfold at its own pace and according to your needs.
The process is not rigidly planned but follows whatever emerges.
I consciously work with only a small number of clients per season so that I can dedicate the necessary depth and presence to each process.
✦ What your days with me will look like
Day 1 – Arrival
Arrival starting at 3:00 PM, and you’re welcome to settle in first.
Afterward, we’ll get to know each other during a Walk & Talk in nature and engage in forest bathing.
The evening is intentionally quiet: settling in, unwinding, a cozy dinner, stargazing.
Day 2 – Deepening
The second day is the heart of your retreat.
After breakfast, space is created for you and your process; depending on what arises and what you need, we’ll work in nature through forest bathing, creative activities, or with TSY and body awareness.
In between, there are regular breaks to reflect, process, and rest.
The evening winds down peacefully with dinner.
Day 3 – Integration
After breakfast, we take time to reflect on our shared experiences together.
