We invite you to join us in exploring the principle of active relaxation through mindfulness training. We will practice this through physical and mental exercises in a small, intimate group (max. 8 participants). In our 350-year-old half-timbered house, renovated using eco-friendly construction methods and featuring guest rooms, a kitchen, a yoga room, a library, an outdoor log sauna, and a natural garden with a covered shed, we provide an environment that will enable you to strengthen your life forces.
Instead of simply “letting your mind wander,” we will offer you guidance on how to train your mental faculties (thinking, feeling, and willing) so that you can approach your daily life with vitality, and so that a guiding thought will accompany you in everything you undertake.
A special highlight of this retreat is the opportunity to meet and spend time with “Giselle” and “Lotta,” two wonderful female donkeys.
We would like to offer this retreat not only to adults but also to families interested in yoga, hiking, and working with donkeys. For us, it’s not about a one-time donkey ride or a short hike, but about the slow, conscious building of a relationship between human and animal. The donkeys respond very sensitively to our nature and the attitude with which we approach them, so that during these 5 days we also learn a lot about ourselves through them.
Rest and relaxation will then be a natural result of this relationship-building work.
We plan the daily schedule together with you, but generally, two yoga sessions are planned for adults, and if there is interest, occasionally a yoga class for the children as well. For those who wish, there is also daily care, feeding, and short or longer hikes with the donkeys.
We generally believe that our program is suitable for children aged 8–12, but upon consultation, participants may also be older (up to 18) or slightly younger (but school-aged).
