Summary

The “Holismos Yoga Holidays project” was launched in 2014 with the aim of promoting holidays and training in yoga and other activities related to personal growth, enjoyment and well-being. We have therefore devised a range of options for weekends yoga, retreats, holidays and training courses. We have taken great care in selecting special locations, so that sharing the experience of beauty and nature can regenerate, nourish and bring joy to those who, like us, identify with these values. We have been organising yoga holidays in Morocco for several years now; we have made many friends and have fallen in love with the country and its people. We recently visited Essaouira and fell in love with the place, the town, the food, but above all with the natural beauty, the power and the force that the ocean brings to this wonderful coastline.
Essaouira
Essaouira a UNESCO world heritage site, is an exceptional example of a late-18thcentury fortified town, built according to the principles of contemporary European military architecture in a North African context. Since its foundation, it has been a major international trading seaport, linking Morocco and its Saharan hinterland with Europe and the rest of the world. Essaouira's large working port is noisy, pungent and hugely atmospheric. Along with the flurry of sea-blue wooden boats arriving and departing, nets being repaired and the day’s catch being landed, you can see traditional wooden boats being made. The boat builders supply fishing vessels for the entire Moroccan coast and even as far away as France, as the design is particularly seaworthy. It’s also worth visiting the fish auction, which takes place
in the market hall just outside the port gates.

Massimo Cantara
Massimo graduated as a Yoga teacher (500 hours) from the SYM international school, where he also taught, and also obtained a diploma in Yoga Therapy (300 hours) from the Vasistha Yoga Foundation in Kerala, India. Since 2010, he has been teaching at his own centre in Italy and is a founding member of “Three Treasures Yoga”, an international teacher training school. In addition to his professional activity as a practitioner of Bio-Natural Disciplines and Shiatsu Teacher, in 1999 he founded the Holismos Arts for Health Centre, a centre for the dissemination and practice of Bio-Natural disciplines, including Yoga, of which he is the director. In 2016, together with Sara Della Torre, he founded the Holismos Yoga and Wellness Centre in Varese. Diploma in Craniosacral Balance,Kinesiologist, Shiatsu Practitioner, Yoga Teacher. In 2020, he made his debut with his music CD “Elemental World”, a sound journey through the five elements.
